Biography

As a Freshman (2024-25): Competed in one indoor meet prior to leaving the team... Posted times of 8.29 and 28.41 seconds in the 60 and 200 meters, respectively, at the Mountaineer Open on Dec. 7 in Gunnison.

Prep: 2024 graduate of Fruita Monument High School… Helped the Bear Huskey coached Wildcats to a fifth place finish in the 4x200 relay at the state championship while breaking the school record for the fourth time… Was also the Southwestern League Champion and all-conference selection in both the 4x100 and 4x200… Finished third in the 100 and fourth in the 200 as an individual runner at the league championship meet after setting PR times of 12.84 and 26.35 earlier in the season… Swept victory in both events at the 2022 SWL Championships to earn all-conference honors… Helped set the Wildcats’ 800 sprint medley school record while placing fifth in that event at the 2021 state championships as a freshman.

Personal: Is majoring in exercise science and aspires to get into PT school when the time comes… Daughter of Gena and Ryan Steele… Likes doing outdoor activities such as hiking, paddle boarding and camping.

Why I Chose CMU: “It was close to home and they have a great program for my major.”
