2024-25 (Junior): Redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
2024 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in the triple jump at the team’s first four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Tripled jumped in all four while contesting the long jump twice… Had a season-best wind-aided triple jump mark of 11.38 meters (37-4) at the Maverick Invite #2… Turned in a wind-legal season-best of 10.97 meters (36-0) at the RMAC Championships to finish 13
th… Ranks tenth in CMU history with that mark.
2023-24 Indoor (Sophomore): Triple jumped at four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Had a career-best mark of 11.01 meters (36-1.5) to place tenth at the conference meet.
2023 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested the triple jump at the last three after opening up the season by competing in the 200 and long jump at the CSU Pueblo Open… Had marks of 28.09 seconds and 5.05 meters (16-7) in her lone attempts of the season in those respective events… Had a season-best triple jump mark of 10.90 meters (35-9.25) at the Kit Mayer Classic before taking 11
th at the conference championships with an effort of 10.78 meters (35-4.5).
2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested the pentathlon at three of them, posting a season-best score of 2,642 points in her collegiate debut at the Mountaineer Open & Multi to qualify for the RMAC Championships… Finished 17
th at the RMAC Championships with a score of 2,360 points… Set four individual discipline season-bests during the conference meet posting times of 9.59 seconds (60m Hurdles) and 2:40.24 (800) as well as field event marks of 1.45 meters (4-9) and 8.52 meters (27-11.5) in the high jump and shot put… Fouled on all of her long jump attempts at the conference meet after posting a season-best 5.05 meters (16-7) during the Mines Classic & Multi… Also contested the triple jump times, posting a season-best mark of 10.77 meters (35-4) to finish ninth at the RMAC Championships
Prep: 2022 graduate of Coal Ridge High School… Was coached by Ben Kirk… Won both the triple jump and 300-meter hurdle 3A Western Slop League titles as a senior after winning the 2021 triple jump crown as well… Finished fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the 300 hurdles at the 2022 state championships… Set PRs of 46.15 and 35-6.75 (w)… Ran the second leg on the state record setting 4x400-meter relay team that ran to a time of 3:56… Won the state title in that event in both 2021 and 2022… Also helped the Titans’ 800 medley relay to a second place finish at the 2021 state championships… Was a first team all-state performer in both 2021 and 2022.
Personal: Is majoring in nursing… Wants to work as a flight or emergency room nurse… Daughter of Brandi and Ryan Smythe… Has two younger sisters— Samantha and Allison… Enjoys going to farmers markets and hanging out with friends.
