2026 Outdoor (Sophomore): Ran in six meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II Championships… Earned Second Team USTFCCCA All-America honors thanks to a 14
th place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Championships… Had claimed the silver medal in the RMAC Championships with a school-record time of 58.89 seconds… Claimed USTFCCCA All-South Central Region and First Team All-RMAC honors in that event… Also earned second team honors in both the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays while helping the Mavs take second in both of those events… Also finished eighth in the 100 meters and accounted for 13 team points… Ran to a wind-aided (+2.3) season-best of 11.91 in the 100 prelims at the conference championships… Had her legal season-best of 12.09 in the finals… Ranks eighth in CMU history with that mark… Anchored the Mavs to a school-record 4x400-meter relay time of 3:47.52 at the Chuck Hearing Classic… Also anchored the No. 3 ranked squad of 3:49.28 at the RMAC meet… Helped the Mavs post a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 45.99 seconds in the 4x100, tied for tenth fastest in program history… Set the school-record in the 400 meters, posting a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 55.27 seconds at the APU Franson Last Chance Meet, in between the two championship meets… Was ranked 61
st nationally with that mark… Also set a wind-aided (+2.1) time of 24.37 in the 200 meters at that meet… Was ranked amongst the RMAC’s top eight performers in four different individual events, ranking second in the 400 meters, third in the 400 hurdles, sixth in the 200 and eighth in the 100… The Mavs also ranked second in the 4x100 and third in the 4x400… Voted on to the First Team Academic All-RMAC squad… Also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team… Earned a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team for the second straight year.
2025-26 Indoor (Sophomore): Ran in five meets… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors in the 400 meters thanks to a second place finish at the RMAC Championships… Posted a season-best and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 55.69 seconds to rank second in program history… Ranked second in the RMAC and 28
th on the national performance list with her converted time of 55.17 seconds… Also ran on the Mavs’ distance medley relay teams… Helped set a school-record time of 11:48.60 at the GVSU Big Meet-Saturday… Later helped the Mavs run to a fifth place time of 12:14.13, third fastest in program history at the RMAC Championships… The converted time of 11:44.25 was a NCAA provisional qualifying mark… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2025 Outdoor (Freshman): Earned all-conference and all-region honors while qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championships… Competed in six meets… Helped set a school-record time of 45.16 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay as the Mavs took second at the RMAC Championships… Won the silver medal and Second Team All-RMAC honors in that event… Also earned USTFCCCA All-Region accolades with that effort, which qualified the Mavs for the national meet… Went on to run on the Mavs’ NCAA Championship 15
th place relay team that finished in 45.69 seconds, the second fastest time in program history… Also ran on the No. 5 and No. 10 ranking relay teams throughout the season… Also earned another Second Team All-RMAC honor in the 400-meter hurdles… Posted a season-best time of 1:01.83 to take fifth in the conference championships… Was ranked seventh on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with the altitude-adjusted mark of 1:01.94, which was also a NCAA provisional qualifying mark… Ranked 61st nationally… Was also eligible to compete in the RMAC Championships in both the 100 and 200 meters but did not declare for those events… Was ranked 14
th on the RMAC’s season-long performers list in the 200 and 22
nd in the 100… Posted a time of 12.32 seconds with a +5.1 wind reading in her lone 100-meter attempt at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird… Had her season-best time of 24.89 in the 200 at the Joe Meaker Classic… Ranks eighth in program history with that time... Qualified for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2024-25 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in six meets, including the RMAC Championships… Qualified for the conference meet in both the 60 and 200 meters… Placed tenth in the 200 (25.61) and 15
th in the 60 (7.80)… Also ran a leg on the Mavs’ 4x400-meter relay team at the RMAC Championships… Set a season-best 60-meter time of 7.76 seconds in her collegiate debut at the Mountaineer Open, placing third… Matched that time while taking second at the ASU Qualifier #1… Set a season-best time of 25.48 in the 200 at the Ichabod Invitational… Was 11
th in the 200 and 16
th in the 60 on the RMAC’s season-long performance lists with converted times of 7.80 and 25.24.
Prep: 2024 graduate of Star Valley High School… Earned five all-state honors for the Braves and Coach Ty Draney… Won the 2023 state title in the 300 hurdles and 4x100 relay… Also helped the Braves win the 4x400 title as a sophomore… Took second in both the 200 and 300 hurdles at the 2024 state meet… Set PR times of 24.39 and 43.43… Also took seventh in the 100 after setting a PR of 12.16 to take second at the 4A West Regionals… Earned all-conference honors seven total times in five events throughout her prep career… Helped the Braves win the 4x200 relay state title in 1:50.31 as a senior in March, 2024.
Personal: Is majoring in criminal justice… Aspires to make the world a better place… Daughter of Ryan and Faylene Merritt… Has three siblings— Kaylee, Kolter and Kolbe… Kolter plays basketball at Montana Western… Loves spending time outside with her family.
