2022 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in two early season meets… Posted season-best times of 12.90 (100) and 16.40 seconds (100 Hurdles) and a jump of 5.31 meters (17-5.25) at the Maverick Invite #1… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2021-22 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in five meets, including the RMAC Championships… Ran to a career-best time of 9.05 seconds in the 60-meter hurdle preliminary heats at the RMAC Championships before being disqualified in the final… Ranked sixth in both program history and on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with that time (9.09-altitude adjusted)… Also scored a team point with a season-best long jump effort of 5.30 meters (17-4.75) at the RMAC Championships… Ran the 60 meters twice, posting a career-best time of 8.13 seconds at the season-opening Mel Tjeerdsma Classic… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2021 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed for the team in two meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the javelin throw with a sixth place finish… Threw a career-best 33.52 meters (110-0) to do so… Ranks seventh in program history with that mark, which also put her eighth on the RMAC season-long performance list… Also finished 16
th in the long jump (5.01m) after jumping a season-best 5.16 meters (16-11.25) at the Maverick Multi & Open… Also ran the 100-meter hurdles at the Maverick Multi & Open, posting a time of 16.66 seconds… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll... Had also competed unattached in three disciplines at the Maverick Open... Won the javelin throw with a mark of 33.10 meters (108-10), which established the since broken facility record... Also set marks of 15.55 (100 Hurdles) and 5.34 meters (17-6.25) in the long jump
2021 Indoor: Did not compete… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2020 Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20 Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in six meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested four different disciplines, qualifying for the conference meet in each of her primary three… Had a season-best time of 9.16 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles at the UCCS Invitational… Finished 13
th at the conference meet in that event… Had finished a season-best second at the Western Colorado Alumni Open… Had a career-best triple jump effort of 11.10 meters (36-5) at The Power 5 to rank seventh in program history… Had a season-best long jump effort of 5.35 meters (17-6.75) at the Western Colorado Alumni Open… Did not record a legal jump in the long or triple jumps at the RMAC meet… Posted a time of 27.26 in the 200 meters in her lone attempt at that discipline at the Western Colorado Open (Dec. 7).
2019 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in seven meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II Championships... Was a member of the Mavs' school-record setting 4x100-meter team, which was the first ever relay team to qualify for a national meet... That squad finished 11th in 47.30 seconds... Had helped CMU qualify by running a former school-record time of 45.84 at the Oxy Invitational, a time that still ranks second in program history... Scored at the RMAC Championships with an eighth place finish in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 11.01 meters (36-1.5)... Ranks seventh in program history... Also competed in the long jump at the RMAC meet after turning in a season best of 5.49 meters (18-0.25) to rank eighth in program history at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational... Set a score of 3,225 points in the heptathlon after contesting that discipline at the Glenn Morris Multi in her hometown of Fort Collins to begin the season... Had other season-bests of 15.39 (100 Hurdles), 1.45m/4-9 (High Jump), 9.35m/30-8.25 (Shot Put), 26.99/88-6 (Javelin)... Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2018-19 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in seven meets, including the RMAC Championships... Finished sixth in the pentathlon at the conference meet with a PR of 3,076 points, a mark that now ranks fifth in program history... Competed in three pentathlons overall... Also finished 13th in the 60-meter hurdles and 17th in the long jump at the RMAC Championships... Had a season-best mark of 5.52 meters (18-1.5) in the long jump at the Mines D-II Invite & Multi to rank eighth in program history... Turned in season-best running times of 9.32 (60 Hurdles) and 26.76 (200) at the Colorado Invitational a week later... Other season-bests were 8.15 (60), 2:42.27 (800), 1.50m/4-11 (High Jump), 9.12m/29-11.25 (Shot Put).
Prep: Set school-records of 15.07 and 37-9.75 while earning first team all-conference honors in both the 100-meter hurdles and triple jump as a senior for the Fort Collins HS Lambkins and Coach Conrad Crist… Went on to finish eighth at the 5A State Championships in the triple jump… Was also a first team all-conference selection in the 4X100-meter relay and a second team performer in the long jump… Had placed fourth at state in the long jump as a sophomore in 2016 after earning second team all-conference honors in the triple jump.
Personal: Is majoring in environmental science, with aspirations of pursuing a career in earth and space exploration after receiving a master's degree… Daughter of Shelley and Shane Paterson… Has two siblings… Older brother Kyler plays club baseball at Colorado State… Enjoys snowboarding, hiking, playing guitar or anything “outdoorsy”.
Why I Chose CMU: “CMU is very close to home for me, but still far enough away for me to feel like I am allowed to grow up. The culture the track team showed me also had a sense of home. I felt very welcomed and knew I would fit in here! CMU is home now and continues to get better and better for me. I am glad to be a Mav!"
