2024 Outdoor (Junior): Competed in eight meets, including all four of the Mavs’ last chance meets… Contested the discus throw at all eight, including the RMAC Championships… Set a school-record with a throw of 46.77 meters (153-5) to claim the bronze medal and First Team All-RMAC honors at the RMAC Championships… Ended up third on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with that NCAA provisional qualifying mark which put her 25th on the national performance list… Competed in the hammer throw at the first three meets of the season… Had a career-best throw of 40.09 meters (131-6) at the Maverick Invite #2… Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second straight year… Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll... Selected to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team as well.

2023-24 Indoor (Junior): Competed in the shot put and weight throw at three meets… Had a career-best weight throw effort of 14.44 meters (47-4.5) at the Western Colorado Open… Ranks ninth in CMU history with that performance… Had a season-best shot put mark of 10.41 meters (34-2) at the Mines Winter Classic & Multi… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2023 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in six meets during an award-winning and breakout season… Threw the discus at all six, recording top three finishes in each of the first four… Set the former CMU record of 44.64 meters (146-5) at the Kit Mayer Classic, finishing second… Won the event at the Maverick Invite with a throw of 44.39 meters (145-8) before going on to win the bronze medal and First Team All-RMAC honors with a third place performance of 43.80 meters (143-8) at the RMAC Championships… Was the first CMU women’s thrower to ever earn a conference championship medal… Also qualified for the RMAC Championships in the shot put, finishing 21st… Had a season-best mark of 11.45 meters (37-6.75) before duplicating the mark at the Kit Mayer Classic… Also threw the hammer throw at each of the first three meets, recording a season-best mark of 39.93 meters (131-0) at the CSU Pueblo Open… Was ranked fifth on the RMAC’s season-long performance list in the discus… Was also recognized for her academic strength, receiving CSC (College Sports Communicators) Academic All-District® honors after begin named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2022-23 Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in five meets, contesting both throwing events at each… Had a season-best weight throw of 14.06 meters (46-1.5) at the Mines Winter Classic & Multi… Had a season-best shot put mark of 11.82 meters (38-9.5) at the same meet… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2022 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in six meets, qualifying for the RMAC Championships in each of her three disciplines (shot put, discus throw, hammer throw)… Finished 11th in the discus throw at the conference meet with a mark of 38.35 meters (125-10) after setting a season-best mark of 43.53 meters (142-10) to win the event at the Maverick Invite #2 two weeks earlier… Ranked fifth on the RMAC’s season-long performers list… Turned in a season-best hammer throw of 38.17 meters (125-3) to finish 21st in that event at the RMAC Championships… Took 23rd in the shot put with a mark of 10.35 meters (33-11.5) after setting a season-best of 11.07 meters (36-4) at the season-starting Maverick Invite #1… Ranks ninth in program-history with that effort.

2021-22 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in six meets, including the RMAC Championships… Qualified for the conference meet in the shot put with a season-best throw of 12.23 meters (40-1.5) en-route to her first collegiate victory at the Mines Winter Classic… Ranks fourth in CMU history with that mark… Took 17th at the conference meet with a heave of 11.08 meters (36-4.25)… Also contested the weight throw at each of her five regular season meets… Had a season-best mark of 12.41 meters (40-8.75) at the Western Colorado Alumni Open.

Prep: Finished fourth in the discus at 4A state championships as a senior in 2021 with the Greeley Central High School Wildcats… Also qualified for state in the shot put… Won the Northern Colorado Athletic Conference title in both events… Had five meet wins in the discus and three in the shot put that season… Had PRs of 134-5 and 34-10… Also competed in the high jump and hurdles during her career with the Wildcats.

Personal: Has not declared a major, but is leaning towards majoring in kinesiology…Would shift focus towards nutrition or training and becoming a either a nutrition therapist or personal trainer… Daughter of Christi and Bruce Yackey… Has two older brothers— Brian and Brett.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I loved the team chemistry and the opportunity to become part of this family atmosphere. I was also excited about the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level for a school with a lot of potential.”
