2026 Outdoor (Freshman): Represented the Mavs in three meets, including the RMAC Championships… Placed 11^th in the 400 meters with a time of 58.85 after setting a season-best time of 58.04 at the Chuck Hearing Classic Invitational… Claimed a silver medal and a Second Team All-RMAC honor as part of the Mavs’ 4x400-meter relay team that finished in a time of 3:49.28, third best in program history… Had a season-best 200 time of 25.85 at the Chuck Haering meet in Pueblo… Set a time of 1:04.21 in the 400 hurdles at the Mines Midweek & Multi to rank eighth in CMU history… Was ranked tenth on the season-long conference performers list but did not enter the RMAC Championships in that discipline.

2025-26 Indoor (Freshman): Ran in three meets, including the RMAC Championships… Finished tenth in the 400 meters at the conference meet with a season-best time of 59.17 seconds… Ended up 12^th on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with her converted mark of 58.61 at the conference meet… Also helped the Mavs take fourth in the 4x400 relay at the RMAC Championships with a time of 3:59.90… Set a 200-meter set of 26.51 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational… Also qualified for the RMAC in the 400 with a time of 59.61 at that meet.

Prep: 2025 graduate of Natrona County High School… Was a 2-time all-state (2023, 2025) and 4-time all-conference (2022-25) performer for the Becky Sondag coached Fillies… Was the team’s MVP as a senior… Took second at the 4A state meet in the 300 meter hurdles and fourth in the 400 meter dash as a senior in 2025… Set PR times of 44.73 and 58.29 at that meet… Finished sixth in the triple jump and 200 while taking eighth at the 2024 state meet as a junior… Set PR times of 12.89 and 25.84 in the 100 and 200 that season… Was also the Fillies’ MVP in volleyball twice (2023, 2024) earning all=-conference honors in both of those years… Also picked up all-state honors in volleyball in the fall of 2024… Also earned all-conference honors in basketball as a senior.

Personal: Is majoring in marketing and finance… Aspires to become a marketing or finance consultant, which she hopes will allow her to build connections and open up new career paths… Daughter of Amy and Brian Costello… Has an older sister— Allie… Likes to be outside and hang out with friends… Also likes to play the piano and guitar.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because the team was welcoming and I liked the coaches’ philosophies. I could see myself thriving academically at CMU and in Grand Junction.”
