2019 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in three meets, contesting the triple jump at each and the long jump two of them... Had a season-best mark of 10.88 meters (35-8.5) in the triple jump at the Mines Kit Mayer Invite to qualify for the RMAC Championships, where she finished 16th with a mark of 10.63 meters (34-10.5)... Had a season-best long jump effort of 5.06 meters (16-7.25) at the Kit Mayer meet, which is also her best outdoor mark of her collegiate career... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.
2018-19 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in six meets... Contested the triple jump at each and the long jump at five.... Had a career-best triple jump effort of 11.11 meters (36-5.5) at the Western Colorado Alumni Open to qualify for the RMAC Championships, where she finished 13th with a mark of 10.84 meters (35-6.75)... Is ranked sixth in program-history... Won both events at the Alumni Open... Had a career-best mark of 5.25 meters (17-2.75) at the Western Colorado Open to open the season on Dec. 1... Ranks tenth in program history with that effort... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.
2018 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in the triple jump at five meets, including the RMAC Championships... Jumped a career-best 11.09m (36-4.75) to finish tenth and move into the No. 2 position in Maverick history... Had a mark of 4.57m (15-0) in her lone long jump effort of the season.. RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll pick.
2017-18 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Contested the triple jump at four meets, recording a career-best mark of 10.91m (35-9.5) to win the Western Alumni Open and qualify for the RMAC Championships... Ranks fifth in program history with that mark... Finished tenth at the conference meet... Also attempted the long jump at the Western Alumni Open, jumping 4.85m (15-11)... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.
2016-17 (Redshirt Freshman): Did not compete in either the indoor or outdoor season.
2015-16 (Freshman): Redshirt season.
Prep: Placed third in the triple jump at the Jeffco 4A/5A League Meet as a senior for Standley Lake HS in 2015... Also placed second in the pole vault at that meet before placing 14th at state... Graduated as the Gators' valedictorian... Set the Arvada City Championships and school record in triple jump (34-1.5)... Other PRs were 10-6 (PV) and 15-4.5 (LJ)... Was the Arvada City Championships Field MVP in 2015... Was the team's Field MVP twice... Also was the diving team's MVP for four years... Earned third team all-conference honors in both track and diving.
Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering... Daughter of Lori and John Torgerson... Has one sibling (Devin)... Aspires to work in the aerospace industry or work in mechatronics... Enjoys hiking, camping, riding horses, kayaking and just being outdoors.
Why I Chose CMU: "Because of the divers environment around campus. It's the perfect place to be able to haul a horse out and ride one day, then go skiiing the next. It has the perfect engineering partnership program for me along with amazing athletics."
