2019 Outdoor (Junior): Redshirt season.

2018-19 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed once posting a time of 21:07.39 in the 5,000 meters at the Colorado Invitational... Ranks ninth in program history with that time.

2018 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in four meets, qualifying for the RMAC Championships in the 10,000 meters after running a season-best time of 41:02.99 at the CSU-Pueblo Spank Blasing Invite... Took 10th at the RMAC meet with a time of 41:06.35... Ranks fourth in Maverick history with that time... Also ran times of 5:11.80 (1500) and 19:51.80 (5K).

2017-18 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in one meet, finishing sixth in the 3,000 meters as the Western Alumni Open with a time of 11:36.42.
 
2016-17 (Freshman at Saginaw Valley State): Competed unattached in two of the Cardinals' indoor home meets... Had times of 5:35.44 (mile) 11:11.76 (3K)... Attempted the 10K at one outdoor meet while representing the Cardinals.

Prep: Prepped at Cherokee Trail High School under head coach Josh Tate... Participated in both Cross Country and Track, earning eight varsity letters...Was the the MVP and cross country captain... Qualified for the 5A State Championships in both the 3,200 and 4X800-meter events as a senior in 2016... Led the team with a 26th place finish at the 2015 5A State Cross Country Championships.

Personal: Is majoring in nursing... Daughter of Bill and Sondra McConnell... Plans to obtain a BSN and work as an RN in a hospital labor and delivery unit... Enjoys running, hiking, camping, fishing, reading and binge watching Netflix when not studying.

Why I Chose CMU: "I chose CMU because I love Colorado and I love the atmosphere at CMU and being close to the mountains.  CMU also has an excellent nursing program."
