2024 Outdoor (Freshman):
Competed in both the long and triple jumps at the Maverick Invite & Multi… Took second in the long jump with a mark of 5.71 meters (18-9) to rank sixth in program history… Was also ranked ninth on the RMAC’s season-long performers list with that mark… Had a triple jump performance of 10.57 meters (34-8.25).

2023-24 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in two meets… Had season-best marks of 9.82 seconds (60 Hurdles) and 5.24 meters (17-2.25) in the long jump.

Prep: 2023 graduate of Wheat Ridge High School… Coached by Scott Chamberlin… Placed fifth in the long jump and eighth in both the 100 and 300-meter hurdles at the state meet during her 2023 senior season… Won the Jeffco League title in both the long and triple jumps while taking second in both hurdling events… Set PRs of 17-7.5 (LJ) and 35-2 (TJ) during the campaign, which saw her claim 13 individual event wins over five different disciplines… Qualified for state in three events as a junior, placing third in the triple jump and sixth in the 100 hurdles…Had PRs of 15.21(w) and 46.97 seconds in the hurdling events during her career… Was in AP for Literature/Language.

Personal: Is majoring in education and wants to become a teacher because as she says, “I love kids and have worked with them since I was 13 from volunteering to coaching to being a counselor.  There’s nothing I love more than bringing joy to these kids.”… Is the daughter of Michelle Herrerra… Has two siblings— Damian and Makayla Pedraza… Enjoys going to concerts, listening to music, hanging out with friends, playing volleyball, going bowling, going to trampoline parks and skiing.

Why I Chose CMU: “I like the size of the school and really like the track team and the coaches.  It’s also close enough but far enough from home.”
