2025-26 (As a Senior): Recorded 29 victories… Led the team with his 19 singles wins, the most for any Maverick since 2015 and tied for the fifth highest single-season total in program history… Went 12-10 in duals after going 7-1 in fall season tournaments… Went 11-9 at No. 3… Also had spot starts at No. 3 and 5… Was 10-18 in doubles with partner Diogo Manzano… Went 7-15 at No. 2 throughout the spring… Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the third straight year… Also received an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award for the fourth time.

2024-25 (As a Junior): Led the Mavericks in singles wins, going 18-9… His 18 singles wins were the eighth most in CMU history and the most for any Maverick man since 2015... Had an impressive 15-6 mark in duals, going 14-4 in his primary No. 5 spot… Had spot starts at No. 3 (0-1) and No. 4 (1-1) as well… Won seven of his final ten matches… Reached the consolation final at the ITA West Regionals in the fall… Had a 6-15 doubles record alongside partner Philemon Jabin… Was 6-14 in duals, playing mostly at No. 1… Went 5-10 in the top flight and 1-4 at No. 2… Received a trio of academic honors… Was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the second straight year… Also received a third straight ITA Scholar-Athlete Honor… Named to the Academic All-PacWest team for the third straight time as well.

2023-24 (As a Sophomore): Led the Mavericks with his 16-7 singles record and 28 total wins… Also co-led the team with 12 doubles wins… Had a 13-6 dual meet record in singles, going 5-0 at No. 4 and 8-6 in the No. 5 spot of the Maverick lineup… Won his final six decisions and went 7-1 with two unfinished matches in his last ten outings… Had a team-best 12-9 doubles record, including an 11-7 dual record…. Played mostly with Philemon Jabin, going 11-6 with the Belgian during the spring… Waw 8-4 at No. 2 doubles and 3-2 at No. 3… Played with Jorge Abreu in the fall, going 1-3 with him… Earned the trifecta of academic awards, claiming a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team… Also named to the Academic All-Pac West Team and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award winner for the second straight year.

2022-23 (As a Freshman): Claimed a dozen wins in his debut season, posting an 8-12 overall singles record and a 4-8 record in doubles… Was 5-10 in singles during duals… Played mostly in the third flight, going 3-9… Was 1-1 at No. 2 and 1-0 at No. 4… Played with four different doubles partners… Was 3-5 in duals, including a 3-3 mark at No. 3… Named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete and to the Academic All-PacWest squad.

Prep: 2022 graduate of Finnvedens Gymnasium… Played club tennis for Värnamo TK 1 in the Swedish Tennis League… Helped the team win all 25 of their matches since 2019… Went 19-1 in singles and 14-2 in doubles… Named as the best student-athlete at his school.

Personal: Is majoring in pre-business administration… Would like to pursue a career with a connection to sports, which he loves… Son of Lena Freij and Fredrik Hultman… Has a brother named Lucas Hultman… Loves to play all kinds of sports, but especially golf… Also likes going to the gym and doing a lot of outdoor activities.

Why I Chose CMU: “I feel that it will be the perfect place for me to continue playing tennis and also continuing to develop so that I can achieve my goals in the sport that I have played for almost my whole life.  I think I can do that at CMU while I can get a good education.  I also think the campus is beautiful.”
