As a Freshman (2017-18 at West Florida): Placed sixth on the 3-meter (401.40) and seventh on the 1-meter (361.50) diving board at the 2018 New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference Championships while diving for the University of West Florida Argonauts… Set NCAA pre-championship qualifying marks of 436.40 (11 dive, 3m), 425.47 (11 dive, 1m)… Also set the UWF freshman record of 269.55 for six dives on the 3-meter against Tulane… Won the 1-meter event at a Jan. 27 dual against Georgia Southern.
Prep: Finished third as both a junior (2016) and senior (2017) at the CIF San Diego Section Championships (Division II) while competing for Coach Jen Margrave and the Mount Carmel High School Sun Devils.. Placed 16th at the state championships as a senior in 2017 with a score of 417.65… Had won the Palomar League title and broke the Sun Devils’ 6-dive school record with a mark of 261.75 points… Was Mount Carmel’s Diver of the Year three times (2015-17).
Club: Qualified for and competed in the US Diving Zone F Championships on the 3-meter in both 2016 and 2017… Dove for coach Roland McDonald and the Aztec Divers of San Diego.
Personal: Daughter of Holly and Bruce Cochrane… Has one older brother - Damian… Is majoring in criminal justice with plans of a law career… Enjoys hiking, biking and working out.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of the excellent swimming and diving program, facilities and coaches. I was also impressed with the academics and program offered for my major. After visiting, I knew CMU had everything I was looking for in a school.”
