Prep: 2025 homeschool graduate… Competed for Cruiz at the 2026 Australian Commonwealth Games Trials… Took second in the 200 fly and third the 400 IM at the 2026 Australia Age Nationals… Finished third in the 200 IM, 200 Breast and 200 Fly at the 2024 version of that meet.
Personal: Is majoring in sport management… Daughter of Marth and Richard Allen… Has seven siblings… “I have a lot of hobbies because I don't like sitting around for long. I'm happiest when I'm active and doing something. When I'm not swimming, I love being outside, whether that's hiking, walking, going to the beach, camping, singing, ice skating, dancing, going to the gym, playing family sports at the park, or just spending time with my two cavoodles, Charlie and Gingersnap.
“I've always enjoyed both swimming and water polo, and coaching a water polo team has become one of my favorite things to do. I love helping young athletes grow in confidence and achieve goals they didn't think were possible.”
I also have a creative side. I enjoy drawing, sketching, painting, colouring, and diamond art. When I get a chance to slow down, I like reading, listening to music, playing board and card games, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy being involved in my church and youth group.
“Overall, I love moving, creating, connecting, and exploring. I get bored sitting still, so I'm always looking for something to do, somewhere to go, or something new to learn.”
Why I Chose CMU: “For a for a strong swim program. I also wanted somewhere that would help me grow as both an athlete and a person, while offering a degree that I'm excited about.
“The biggest reason I chose CMU was the coaches. They weren't only recruiting me for my swimming abilities. They wanted me because of who I am: my work ethic, my character, my attitude, and the way I approach challenges and what I could bring to the team. That meant a lot to me. They made me feel like they believed I was the complete package, not just another swimmer.
“Professor Cowan was another reason I chose CMU. After talking with her, I could see how a degree in Sports Management, Coaching, and Kinesiology could help me build a career after swimming. She didn't just tell me about the courses. She helped me picture what my future could look like and explained how I would be supported both inside and outside of the classroom, which made a huge difference.
“The team was another reason I knew CMU was the right fit. Everyone was easy to talk to from the start, and it didn't take long to feel like I belonged. The team culture felt like a family. I also loved the training environment. There was so much energy on the pool deck, everyone pushed each other to be better, and the coaches had high expectations. I actually liked that because I know I do better when I'm challenged and held to high expectations.
“By the end of my visit, I wasn't comparing CMU to the other universities anymore. I already knew where I wanted to be. It felt like a place where I could keep chasing big goals in the pool while also growing as a student and a person. More than anything, it just felt right.”
