As a Redshirt Junior (2023-24 @ CMU):
Swam in eight meets, including the RMAC Championships… Scored in three individual and six total events… Reached the championship final in both backstroke disciplines taking fifth in the 100 Back seventh in the 200… Set season-best altitude-adjusted times of 56.40 and 2:03.76 during the RMAC Championships… The 100 time came in the preliminary round… Also set a season-best 50 Free time of 24.61 to finish 16th… Had a season-best 100 Fly time of 56.87 (converted) in a time trial… Swam the opening backstroke leg on CMU’s 200 Medley Relay “B” team, which won the section… Also anchored the Mavs’ 200 and 400 Free “B” heat winning relay teams… Ended the season ranked eighth in the RMAC for the 100 Back and ninth for the 100 Fly… Also ranks tenth in CMU history for the 100 Back.

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2022-23 @ Utah): Set a personal-best time of 2:01.60 in the 200 back to place 17th at the Princeton Big Al Invitational… Finished third in the 100 fly against Southern California, fourth in the 100 back at Colorado Mesa and third in both backstroke events against Washington State.

As a Redshirt Freshman (2021-22 @ Utah): Placed second in the 100 back on Senior Day against Colorado Mesa before finishing with a season-best time of 53.20 in the 100 free at the Pac-12 Championships… Was a member of the Utes’ 200 free relay teams that took second at BYU and third against California.

As a Freshman (2020-21 @ Utah): Placed 19th in the 100 back at the Pac-12 Championships with a season-best time of 55.96 seconds, a mark that was tenth fastest in Utah history at the time… Had four top-5 finishes in duals throughout the season, placing fourth in the 100 back against the Mavs.

Prep: 2020 graduate of Roosevelt High School… Was the Roughriders’ school-record holder in the 100 fly… Was also ranked second all-time in the 100 back… Won the 100 fly state title at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 3A State Championships as a senior in the fall of 2019… Was also the 100 back runner-up (55.10)… Had placed third in both events as a junior in 2018 after taking second in both events as a sophomore in 2017.

Club: Swam for the Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club… Qualified for the USA Swimming Futures and Winter Junior Championships for three straight years.

Personal: Is majoring in exercise science… Is unsure on exact career plans, but wants to help people in any way she can, most likely in a capacity to help improve their athletic performance…. Daughter of Nicole and Tim Leary… Has two brothers— Jack and Peter… Peter is on the CMU Cross Country and Track & Field teams… Loves to paint and decorate… Also enjoys spending time outside in any way she can.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of the academic opportunities available to me as an exercise science major as well as the team atmosphere that Coach Mickey and Coach Parro create to achieve excellence.”
