2024-25 (As a Sophomore @ CMU): Won a NCAA Division II and a pair of RMAC titles as well as three CSCAA All-America honors after emerging as the Mavs’ top breaststroker… Swam in ten meets, including both championship events… Helped the Mavs successfully defend the NCAA title in the 400 Medley Relay as the Mavs posted a school-record time of 3:37.54… Received a second first team all-America honor in the 200 medley relay as CMU took fourth place in that event… Also picked up second team all-America honors in the 100 breast, placing 14th with a personal-best time of 1:02.04… Ranks third in CMU history with that time, which was the fastest in the RMAC throughout the season… Finished3 27th in the 200 Breast (2:19.30) at the NCAA meet… Helped the Mavs set a RMAC Championship record time of 3:40.88 to claim the gold medal… Also won an individual gold, winning the 100 Breast in 1:02.86… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors and a bronze medal in the 200 Breast… Also competed in the 100 Fly and 200 IM at the RMAC Championships, posting a personal-best time of 1:05.04 (altitude-adjusted) in the 100 Fly… Qualified for the NCAA meet in in the 100 Breast after posting a altitude-adjusted time of 1:02.31 to take second in the Air Force/BYU tri-meet…. Posted her personal-best and NCAA qualifying time of 2:17.75 (adjusted) in the 200 Breast at the TYR CMU Invitational… Ranks seventh in program history with that time… Was also fourth on the RMAC season-long performance list with it… Also set her personal-best mark of 2:13.33 (adjusted) in the 200 IM at the TYR CMU Invitational… Earned a CSCAA First Team Scholar All-America honor.

Before CMU: Earned four All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors as a freshman with the Southwestern University Pirates, a NCAA Division III program in Georgetown, Texas… Placed second in the 100 Breast and third in the 200 Breast while also swimming the breaststroke leg on the Pirates’ 200 and 400 Medley Relay teams that both took second at the SCAC Championships… Helped the Pirates set school records in both of those events… Set personal-best times of 1:04.42 and 2:22.83 in the individual events… Also had a personal-best of 2:16.37 to take 12th in the 200 IM… Was named as the Pirates’ Newcomer of the Year after helping the Pirates to a third place team finish at the SCAC Championships… Was named as the SCAC Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 30 after recording a pair of individual wins (100 Breast, 200 IM) in a Jan. 27 dual at Division II UTPB… Also won the 100 Breast in a Jan. 20 dual against Trinity… Was named to university’s Dean’s List and to the SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll.

Prep: 2023 homeschool graduate.

Club: Won the 100 and 200 Breast at the STAGS Championships while competing for Nitro Swimming… Went on to compete at the Speed Junior National Championships in the 100 Breast.

Personal: Is majoring in Spanish… Has an interest in health studies and is possibly interested ina  career around the lines of emergency care or first aid… Daughter of Kat and Robert Leese… Has three siblings— Lauren, Marcus and Joey.

Why I Chose CMU: “I wanted I wanted to go somewhere with a strong team that pushes me both as a swimmer and as a person. CMU had been on my radar for a while and the more I looked into it, the more I felt like this is the place for me.”
