2024-25 (Junior):
Swam in ten meets while increasing her reputation as the Queen of the Maverick relays and a heralded sprint freestyler… Swam on four top-four placing relay teams at the NCAA Division II National Championships while anchoring the Mavs to a successful national title defense in the 400 Medley Relay… Also helped CMU win RMAC titles in the same four relays… Completed the Mavs’ school-record setting effort of 3:37.54 at the national meet in Indianapolis… Also earned First Team CSCAA All-America honors in the 200 Free, 400 Free and 800 Free Relays… Anchored the Mavs to a second place finish and school-record time of 3:19.27 in the 400 Free Relay as CMU secured a third place and podium overall team finish… Also anchored the Mavs to a school-record time of 1:30.93 and a fourth place finish in the 200 Free… Swam the third leg on the third place 800 Free Relay team that finished in 7:14.86, the fastest actual time in program history… Also swam the second leg on the official school-record setting team that finished in an altitude-adjusted time of 7:12.75 during the TYR/CMU Invitational in November… Also swam in three individual sprint free events at the national meet, placing 18th in the 200 (1:50.13), 24th in the 100 (50.79) and 52nd in the 50 (23.88)… Set her season-best and NCAA qualifying times of 23.70, 50.45 and 1:49.29 in those events during the TYR/CMU Invitational… Anchored the Mavs to three RMAC Championship relay record times at the conference meet despite not tapering… Those marks were 1:31.64 (200 Free), 3:21.41 (400 Free) and 3:40.88 (400 Medley)… Also helped the Mavs win the 800 Free relay in 7:19.60… Also fared well in the three individual events, placing fifth in the 100 Free, eighth in the 200 Free and ninth in the 50 Free at the RMAC Championships… Scored 65 team points in those three events while contributing another 44 when accounting for her share of the relay wins… Was ranked third in the 100 Free, sixth in the 200 Free and tenth in the 50 Free on the RMAC’s season-long top times report… Helped the Mavs break the El Pomar Natatorium Records in the 200 Free (1:31.62) and 800 Free (7:17.55) relays during the TYR CMU Invitational… Won the 100 Free in an away dual at Division I Colorado State… Also earned a variety of academic awards… Was voted as a Second Team Academic All-American for the second straight year after also being named as an Academic All-District honoree… Was also voted on to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the second straight year… Was a First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American for the third straight year.

2023-24 (Sophomore): Shined in the relays at the NCAA Division II Championships, winning three national titles and four CSCAA All-America honors at the national meet in Geneva, Ohio… Also earned another second team all-America honor in the 100 Free while also qualifying in the 50 and 200 Free… Won national titles in the 200 Free, 400 Free and 400 Medley Relays, helping set former school record times of 1:31.26 (200 Free), 3:20.00 (400 Free) and 3:38.52 (400 Medley)… Helped the Mavs take second in the 800 Free Relay with a time of 7:15.54… Placed 14th in the 100 Free, 20th in the 200 Free and 38th in the 50 Free at the NCAA meet… Had an even better RMAC Championship meet winning five titles, six First Team All-RMAC certificates, seven total certificates and seven medals… Won the 100 Free while setting a former school-record time of 49.96 seconds (altitude adjusted), a time that currently ranks her second in CMU history… Swam on the 200 Free, 400 Free, 800 Free and 400 Medley Relay teams that all set RMAC Championship records… Also helped the Mavs set a former El Pomar Natatorium record of 1:32.17 in the 200 Free Relay… Set a former school-record 200 Free time of 1:48.37 (converted) during the meet-opening 800 Free Relay, which saw the Mavs post a RMAC Championship record of 7:19.44… Now ranks second in CMU history in the 200 Free... Led-off the meet record-setting 400 Free Relay team that touched in 3:21.63… Anchored the 400 Medley relay to a former meet record time of 3:41.27… Also earned the silver medal in the 200 Free and the bronze in the 50 Free, individually… Accounted for 53 team points in her three individual events at the conference meet plus another 44 when counting her share of relay points… Helped the Mavs set former pool record relay times of 1:31.83 (200 Free) and 3:39.83 (400 Medley) during the TYR/CMU Invitational… Also set a then school-record 50 Free time of 23.26 seconds during that meet… Is now tied for fourth in CMU history with that mark… Was selected as a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators… Also voted on to the RMAC All-Academic First Team and as a CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American… Competed in ten meets throughout the season… Started the campaign strong wining the 100 Free at the Intermountain Shootout… Also won that event at the Colorado School of Mines dual… Was ranked amongst the RMAC’s top swimmers in four individual events, finishing atop the performance list in the 100 Free while ranking second in the 200 Free and tied for third in the 50 Free… Also ranked fourth in the 200 IM with an NCAA “B” cut time of 2:04.34 at the TYR/CMU Invitational… Ranks sixth in CMU history for that event, which she did not compete in at the RMAC or NCAA Championships to allow her to race in four relays.

Summer 2023: Set new personal-best LCM times of 28.03 (50 free), 59.71 (100 free) and 2:12.22 (200 free) at the CO Tops Hilltopper Invite in Denver.

2022-23 (Freshman): Competed in all 11 swim meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II Championships… Earned three first team CSCAA All-America honors on relays while picking up an individual second team honor in the 100 free thanks to an 11th place finish at the national meet… Helped the Mavs finish second in both the 200 and 400 free relays, the highest NCAA Championship relay finishes in Maverick history… Also led-off the Mavs to a fourth place finish in the 800 free relay… Matched the former school-record of 50.25 as the lead-off on the 400 free relay team, that set a former school-record time of 3:21.18… Helped the Mavs set a former school-record time of 1:32.12 in the 200 free relay… Had been a part of the former school and pool-record setting 800 free relay team (7:20.96-actual/7:16.16-adjusted) at the TYR CMU Invitational… Also finished 22nd in the 200 free, 31st in the 50 free and 45th in the 500 free at the NCAA meet… Won a pair of RMAC titles while claiming four total All-RMAC honors… Reached the championship final in all four of her individual events, winning the 100 free title while swimming on the Mavs’ winning 400 free relay team… Set four NCAA qualifying times at the conference meet… Also earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in both the 200 free and 200 IM… Won the bronze medal in the 200 free while taking fourth in the 200 IM… Set a season-best 200 free time of 1:49.35 (altitude-adjusted) as the lead-off leg on the Mavs’ “B” heat winning 800 free relay team that held the RMAC Championship record for a matter of minutes before the “A” team lowered it further… Also led-off the “B” heat winning team in the 200 free relay, turning in an season-best split of 23.57 seconds… Accounted for 63 team points, sixth most in the entire conference meet, in her four individual events and 87 in total, when accounting for her share of relay points... Set her NCAA “B” cut 500 free time of 4:58.91 (adjusted) to rank seventh in program history at the TYR CMU Invitational before focusing more on sprint events and the 200 IM in the second half of the season… Was named as a First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American.

Prep: Won Montana’s Class A 200 IM state title during every year of her prep career with the Whitefish High School Bulldogs… Also claimed the 500 free as both a junior and senior… Holds the school record in every individual event.
 
Club: Won both the 400 IM and 100 free while recording five other second place finishes for the Kalispell Aquatic Team at the Montana State Short Course Championships in February, 2022.
 
Personal: Is majoring in kinesiology… Her current career plans are to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer… Daughter of Jessica and Steven Qunell… Has a younger sister named Emi… Enjoys anything outside and also likes shopping, spending time with friends and reading.
