Biography

2023: Named as the RMAC Tournament MVP after scoring a career-high two goals in the Mavs’ championship match win at the Colorado School of Mines… Also scored the game-winning goal in a semifinal win against Westminster… Scored six goals overall, third most on the team… Was tied for ninth in the RMAC… Took 50 shots throughout the season, 23 of which were on goal… Was ranked eighth in the RMAC for shots and ninth (tie) for shots on goal… Played in all 23 games to match a single-season school record… Made 20 starts in the midfield… Selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team… Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the third straight year.

2022: RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll... Played in 16 games, making 12 starts... Recorded three goals and one assist... Ranked second on the team with 18 shots on goal and tied for second with 29 total shots... Scored against Lubbock Christian (Sep. 10), Colorado Christian (Oct. 14) and New Mexico Highlands (Oct. 23)... Recorded a season-high six shots twice, against Lubbock Christian (with five shots on goal) and Regis on Oct. 30 (with three shots on goal).

2021 (Fall): All-RMAC Honorable Mention...RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll...Appeared in 18 games, starting in 15...Finished the season with three goals and three assists...Recorded two assists in the season opener against Texas Permian Basin (Sept. 3)..First goal of the season came against Western Oregon (Sept. 5)...Netted goals against Colorado School of Mines (Oct. 8) and Colorado Christian (Oct. 22)...Took third most shots (33) and shots on goal (16).

2021 (Spring): All-RMAC Honorable Mention...RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll...Started all 10 games...Logged 895 minutes...Scored one of the team's five goals in a shutout over Western Colorado (Mar. 19)...Had an assist in that same contest

2019: Played in 10 games and made one start...Scored her first collegiate goal against New Mexico Highlands in a 6-0 win on October 18...Made her first career start against Colorado School of Mines on September 22.

Prep: As a high achieving multisport athlete Mikayala was a four-year letter winner in both soccer and basketball…On the soccer field she earned All-State honors and First Team All-Conference honors her senior year…As a junior she was named All-Conference Honorable Mention and earned Second Team honors her sophomore year… She helped Lead Rocky Mountain High School to a Front Range conference championship in 2016…As a team captain in 2019 she led her team to a semifinal appearance in the 5A State Championships her senior year…On the basketball court she earned second team All-Conference her senior year and was a two-time team captain…In the classroom she was a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and National Math Honor Society.

Personal: Parents are Clint Eccher and Wendy DiMartino…Has one younger singling, Jake…Chose CMU because it was the perfect location and gave her a great opportunity to play soccer…She also enjoys the small class sizes, close-knit community, and gorgeous campus and surroundings…When she is not playing soccer she enjoys pottery, camping, hiking, traveling, and anything outdoors…Plans to major in environmental science and minor in Spanish.…Aspires to create a sustainable future while focusing on restoration and use her Spanish to travel to other countries.
