2022: Converted full-time to pitching after beginning his Shocker career as an infielder...made five appearances, all in relief, totaling 3.1 innings...allowed eight hits and eight runs, seven earned...did not issue a walk...logged a scoreless inning on the road at East Carolina on April 8...named to the AD Honor Roll in both Fall 2021 and Spring 2022...named to AAC All-Academic Team.

2021: Granted extra year of eligibility by NCAA due to COVID-19 pandemic...Played in 11 games with four starts, including three at first base and one at third base...Also made three appearances in relief on the mound...Hit .118 with two hits in 17 at bats, going along with two runs, a grand slam (April 11 vs. Houston), four RBI and three walks...On the rubber, posted a 6.00 ERA, surrendering two earned runs on six hits with one strikeout and one walk in three innings...American All-Academic Team honoree. 

2020: Played in 10 games, including nine starts (eight at shortstop, one at third base)...Hit .250 with nine hits in 36 at bats, going along with three runs, seven RBI and a double...Hit a walk-off sac fly in Wichita State's 10-9 win over Louisiana Tech March 8. Also had four RBI in the contest...Had four, two-hit games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner and starter, and team captain as a junior and senior for head coach Justin Little at Grand Junction High School...First team all-conference honoree...Batted .470 and posted a .900 fielding percentage as a senior...Played in the Colorado All-Star Game at Coors Field as a sophomore and senior...Four-year academic letterwinner...Also played basketball and football.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Criminal Justice...Son of Brian and Tamara Shaver...Has one sibling, Branden...Chose CMU because he grew up watching Maverick games and wanted to be a part of a great program...Aspires to become a fire fighter...Enjoys hunting, fishing and playing video games.
