Megan Remec was named the head Women's Soccer Coach at Colorado Mesa before the 2020 season, played in spring 2021 due to COVID-19. In her debut campaign, Remec led the Mavericks to a winning 5-4-1 record and to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time since 2017.
In her first full season, CMU finished 14-4 with a 10-2 RMAC record, winning the program's first regular-season RMAC title since 2000. The Mavericks have accumulated several individual accolades under Remec. Forward Lila Dere was named RMAC Freshman of the Year in 2020 and RMAC Player of the Year in 2021, while defender Michaela Dangler was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 while being recognized as a first-team academic All-American.
No stranger to the RMAC, Remec previously served as an assistant coach at MSU Denver for five seasons over two stints. She was on the Roadrunners’ staff from 2013-16 and then re-joined the MSU Denver staff in 2019. She helped the Roadrunners to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances including a trip to the Regional Finals in 2013. While at MSU Denver, Megan helped develop two all-Americans, 11 all-Region players, and both the RMAC Player of the Year and RMAC Freshman of the Year.

Prior to her time at MSU Denver, she was an assistant at NCAA Division III Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. During her time (2010-13) with the Blue Jays, she was responsible for recruiting, advanced scouting, alumni relations and fundraising. She helped the program to their fifth consecutive winning season and coached four all-Conference players, tied for the most in program history.

She earned her United States Soccer Federation 'B' National coaching license and her Goalkeeping Level II coaching license in 2013.

Remec was also a club soccer coach and high school director of coaching at Broomfield Soccer Club. She was with the program for four years, her teams won four Colorado State Championships, a US Youth Soccer Western Regional Championship, and advanced to the u17 National Championships where they finished third.

Remec is a graduate of Purdue University where she played for the Boilermaker club program. She majored in both communication and media Studies along with Spanish language and literature in 2007. She earned her master's degree in health and kinesiology in 2010 from Purdue.

Remec stayed in West Lafayette following her graduation and became a graduate assistant for the Boilermakers under two-time Big Ten coach of the year Robert Klatte. She helped the program to the Big Ten Tournament Championship in 2007 and to the NCAA Tournament in 2007 and 2009.
