Leah Swander was named the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach in the winter of 2025. She is familiar with the program as she served as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2021 season.
Swander is a Grand Junction local, who returns to the Western Slope following a playing career at the University of Denver.
During her time with the Pioneers, she earned 76 appearances, starting 49 matches as a forward. She tallied eight goals and seven assists, including game-winners in each of her final three seasons with Denver. She helped the team to two Summit League regular season titles and two Summit League Tournament titles.
She graduated from Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, and pursued a career overseas. She coached a U-16 girls team in New Zealand and played semi-professionally.
