Kortney Rhoades begins her third season as an assistant coach for the Colorado Mesa women's soccer program.
She began her stint after a successful collegiate career at the University of South Carolina. Rhoades appeared in 60 games and started 46 in her career. She scored 10 goals and assisted on three others in her three years for the Gamecocks. In 2011, she capitaned the Gamecocks to a Southeastern Conference (SEC) regular season championship. It is the first and only regular season championship in program history. In 2009, she led South Carolina to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA National Tournament and a SEC Tournament Championship, also a first in program history.
Prior to transferring to South Carolina, Kortney played one season at St. Joseph's University where she led the team in assists.
Rhoades played her club ball for FC Delco Fury where she helped the team to six EPYSA state championships. She also finished third three times at USYSA National Championships.
Her short coaching career includes one year at South Carolina and one year at the Padua Academy in Delaware.
