Bonnie Young began her volunteer assistant position with Colorado Mesa in the summer of 2026.
Young has more than 20 years of experience in coaching and club leadership across all levels, from recreational soccer through women's professional soccer with the Chicago Red Stars and the Washington Spirit.
Collegiately, she has coached at the University of Rhode Island, Monmouth University, North Central College, and she was an assistant coach for the Chicago Red Stars and Washington Spirit in the NWSL. She most recently coached collegiately at MSU Denver in 2023.
Additionally, she has more than 15 years of club leadership experience having been a director in Chicago, IL and Boulder, CO.
Young has earned her premier diploma and director of coaching diploma from United Soccer Coaches, and has her USSF "B" License in addition to being a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
She also is a United States Youth National Team scout.
