Shanta Loecker came to Colorado Mesa in the Summer of 2018 after spending the past six seasons at Albion College in Michigan, a NCAA Division III program. She led the program to new highs after taking over the program that was winless in 2012 and guiding them to a program record 15-3 mark and a spot in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

During her tenure, the Brits had four Michigan Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association MVP honors, 31 all-MIAA awards and three all-region selections.
Â
Prior to her time at Albion, she guided one of the premier club programs at UCLA for three seasons and amassed a record of 37-23 and had 12 student-athletes achieve all-Western Women's Lacrosse League status. She was named the league's coach of the year following the 2012 season.
Â
In 2014, she was named the offensive coordinator of the Scotland Senior National Team as they prepared for the 2017 FIL Senior Women's World Cup.
Â
Loecker studied mass communications at UCLA, where she started at attack for the Bruins 'A' team from 2003-2006 and was a first team all-league selection.
