Ashley Delaney

Ashley Delaney was elevated to the head women's lacrosse coach during the Summer of 2023 after serving as the assistant women's lacrosse coach for the previous four seasons at Colorado Mesa.

In 2024, her first season in charge, Delaney led the Mavericks to a strong 11-6 overall record, including a second place 8-2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference mark.  The Mavs also advanced to the RMAC Tournament Championship game for the fourth straight year and had both the RMAC Attacker of the Year (Justine Anderson) and repeat RMAC Defensive Player of the Year (Kelsey Viger) lead the team.

As an assistant coach, a role she began during the 2019-20 academic year, Delaney also helped the Mavericks win a share of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular-season title in 2023.

Prior to her time with the Mavericks, she served a stint as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg College, a Division III school in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Delaney played collegiately at LIU-Brooklyn before moving out west to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. During her time in California, she served as the director and head coach of TEAM Lacrosse Academy in Temecula. There she oversaw the elite high school, middle school, peewee, and developmental programs.

At CMU, Delaney also serves as an adjunct professor teaching sports marketing and intro to sport management courses.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in media art from LIU and her master’s degree in sport management through CMU.  She also earned an associate’s degree in graphic design from FIDM.

Outside of lacrosse, She is an avid fan of Philadelphia teams including the Eagles and Phillies.
