Career Synopsis: Made Maverick history finishing her career atop the CMU all-time scoring average charts with a mark of 76.59 over 59 career rounds… Also finished with a program-best 84.1 finish percentage while tying a CMU career record by posting five par or better rounds… Made 125 birdies throughout her career, equal to second most in CMU history… Was a First Team All-RMAC selection in all three of her seasons on the Maverick golf squad… Had three of the best nine single-season scoring averages in program history… Also dominated academically becoming the only 2-time CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-American® in program history... Was also a 2-time RMAC Summit Award Winner and a 3-time RMAC All-Academic team pick.
2022-23 (Redshirt Senior): Continued to make Maverick history, earning First Team All-RMAC honors for the third successive year after recording a 76.09 scoring average, third best in program history… Played in all nine tournaments and 22 rounds… Set a school-record by recording par or better in four of those… Had her score counted towards the team total in 21 rounds (95.5 percent)… Finished in the 70’s in 16 of her rounds while posting four other scores of 80… Had a season-best score of 71 on two occasions… Had six top 10 finishes and finished in the top 20 at eight tournaments… Recorded a pair of runner-up finishes… Capped her career with a fifth place finish at the RMAC Championships… Matched her season-best round of 71 in the opening round of the conference tournament before going on to a season-best 54-hole total of 226, equal to fifth best in program history… Had a season-best 36-hole score of 147 en-route to a sixth place finish (tie) in a field of 117 at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic… Took second at both the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invite and the Warrior Invitational… Dominated in the classroom, posting a 4.0 GPA… Earned First Team Academic All-America® honors as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly known as CoSIDA)… Was also named as the RMAC Academic Golfer of the Year as the leader of the conference’s all-academic team.
2021-22 (Redshirt Junior): Broke the CMU scoring average record, posting a 76.00 average in 20 rounds of an award-winning season… Was a First Team All-RMAC selection for the second straight year… Set the school-record by posting 44 birdies throughout the season… Had an 83.3 finish percentage to lead the team and rank second in program history… Was named as the RMAC Summit Award Winner for the second straight year and went on to be selected to the RMAC All-Academic First Team… Was later named as a Third Team CoSIDA Academic All-American for Women’s At-Large Sports after being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 squad… Finished in the top 10 in five of her nine tournaments, posting three top-5 finishes… Tied for second at both the Swan Memorial and Biola Eagle Invitational… Was named as the RMAC Golfer of the Week after the later, when she finished with a season-best 36-hole score of 147… Had a 3-round total of 224 at the Swan Memorial after finishing that tournament with a season-best round of even par 72… Finished fifth (tie) at the Pack Classic before capping her season with other top 10 finishes at the West Texas A&M Desert Invite and RMAC Championships… Was ninth (tie) at the RMAC tournament and tied for eighth at the West Texas A&M event… Finished in the 70s in 16 of her 20 rounds and was figured into the team score in all but one.
2020-21 (Redshirt Sophomore): First Team All-RMAC selection… Named as the RMAC Summit Award Winner for having the highest GPA at the RMAC Championships… Was also a RMAC All-Academic First Team selection… Played in all eight of the team’s tournaments posting a scoring average of 77.94 over 17 competitive rounds… Was ranked second on the team behind Hannah More in that category… That mark also ranks her eighth in program history… Carded ten rounds in the 70s… Finished in the top 20 at seven tournaments and had four top-10 finishes… Posted a 83.3 head-to-head finish percentage, tied for third best in program history with More… Recorded 35 birdies during the season, tied for eighth most in CMU’s single-season history… Also had two eagles, tied for second most in program lore… Finished in a tie for fifth at the El Cheapo Classic while taking sixth by herself at both the Swan Memorial and SMSU Spring Invitational… Had a 36-hole best of 147 to tie for tenth in a field of 107 at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic… Had her season-best round of 73 along with a 74 in that tournament… Her 36-hole total of 147 is tie for fifth best in season-history… Finished 28
th with a 3-round of 243 at the RMAC Championships in CMU’s lone 54-hole tournament of the campaign.
2019-20: Played on the
CMU women’s basketball team in 2019-20, helping the Mavericks win the RMAC Regular Season and Tournament titles.
2018-19: Played basketball at Regis University in Denver.
Prep: 2018 graduate of Rifle High School… Was a 4-time first team all-conference selection for the Bears… Finished in the top 10 at the state tournament three times… Placed fourth as a senior (2018), fifth as a junior (2017) and sixth as a sophomore (2016)… Won the individual regional title in 2016 and helped the Bears to a pair of regional team titles (2016, 2018)… Was coached by her father Roger.
Personal: Is majoring in accounting… Daughter of Roger and Christy Walters… Has one older sibling- Taylor, a former Maverick golf standout.
