As a Sophomore (2022): Ran in three meets… Posted a career-best 5K time of 19:05.4 at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede… Finished 13th overall to match her 2021 and career-best finish… Was the Mavs’ fourth finisher on that day… Finished 16th as the team’s fifth runner at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite with a time of 20:13.3 to begin the season… Had a 6K time of 23:54.5 to finish 131st at the NCAA D2 Pre-Nationals meet… Was sixth on the team on that day (Oct. 22)… RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.

As a Freshman (2021): Competed in all six meets throughout the season, including the first two as an unattached runner… Finished 60th at the RMAC Championships as the Mavs’ fourth runner… Moved up to the team’s No. 3 runner and 103rd overall place finisher at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships… Had a 6K best of 23:43.8 at the regional… Finished a season-best 13th in her team debut at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede after pulling her redshirt off… Had finished 19th at the UCCS Rust Buster and 16th at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite as an unattached runner… Finished with a season-best 5K time of 19:11.8 at the UCCS Rust Buster.

Prep: 2021 graduate of Fruita Monument High School… Ran for coaches Jay Valentine and Bear Huskey… Helped the Wildcats qualify for the 5A State Cross Country Championships three times (2018, 2019, 2020)… Placed 47th individually as a senior in 2020 with a time of 20:00.3 while helping the team place ninth… Earned First Team All-Southwestern League honors with a PR of 19:16.1 earlier in the season… Was a Second Team All-SWL performer as a junior in 2019… Helped the squad earn the Academic Team Championship in 2018…  Was a 2-time state championship (2019, 2021) qualifier on the track… Set PR times of 26.33 (200), 58.33 (400) and 2:23.21 (800) as a senior in 2021… Finished eighth in the 400 meters at the 2021 5A State Championships and helped the Wildcats place fifth in the sprint medley relay with a school-record time… They also finished seventh in the 4x800-meter relay… Helped the Wildcats qualify for state and set a school-record time in the 4x200-meter relay in 2019.

Personal: Is majoring in graphic design… Daughter of Brian and Alison Arcand… Has one older brother— Evan… Plans to explore various career options through her college education… Enjoys drawing, painting, reading, skim boarding, paddle boarding, hiking with her black lab.
