As a Sophomore (2022): Ran in all five of the Mavs’ full team meets, including the RMAC and South Central Regional Championships… Finished 53rd overall and fourth on the team in the conference meet… Was 66th and third on the team at the regional… Had recorded a pair of top-10 finishes early in the season, running a season-best 5K time of 18:43.4 to finish ninth overall and first on the team at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede… Was second on the team and tenth at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite…. Set a career-best 6K time of 23:18.4 to finish 99th overall and fourth on the team at the NCAA D2 Pre-Nationals meet… Was a USTFCCCA All-Academic award winner... Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

As a Freshman (2021): Competed in all six meets as the team’s top newcomer for much of the season… Had two top-10 finishes, placing sixth at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite and eighth at the home Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede meet… Was the team’s second overall finisher at the home meet and the No. 3 runner in four others… Posted a 5K season-best of 18:24.2 at the Chile Pepper XC Festival to finish well inside the top third (88th) out of 330 runners… Was then 54th as the Mavs’ No. 3 runner at the RMAC Championships before capping the year with a 127th place finish at the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals in Lubbock, Texas, where she ran a season-best 6K time of 24:28.1, 3.5 seconds quicker than her RMAC Championship run, which was at altitude… Was the team’s fifth finisher at the regional.

Prep: Was named as Eagle High School’s 2021 Scholar Athlete Award winner… Set a PR of 2:17.66 in the 800 meters at the 5A District 3 Championships… Went on to finish tenth at the Idaho State Championships for the Greg Harm coached Mustangs… Finished 19th at the 2019 IHSAA XC Championships in the cross country with a PR 5K time of 18:51… Finished 108th at the Nike Cross Northwest Regional that year… Also finished 19th at the state meet as a senior in the fall of 2020… Was named as the Mustangs’ most improved athlete in 2018 and 2019.

Personal: Is majoring in nursing… Daughter of Jeanette & Eric Britton… Has two younger siblings— Tyler and Brooklyn… Aspires to become a registered nurse and after obtaining her nursing degree, work as a traveling nurse to be able to experience many different specialties and help a wide variety of people… Enjoys most things outdoors, especially rock climbing and hiking.

Why I Chose CMU: “When choosing a university I was looking for a few specific criteria. The first, a school with an exceptional nursing program. The second, was cross country and track team where I will be challenged and able to contribute to the team. The final criteria was location where I can continue to enjoy outdoor activities.”
