2022 Beach Volleyball Roster
Biography
2022 (Senior): Went 15-10 throughout the season, playing with freshman partner Jada Hall… Played nearly exclusively in the No. 3 position… Had one victory with her in the No. 1 spot on Mar. 12 against Trinidad State… Was a solid 4-2 during the Mavs’ AVCA Small College Championship title-winning run… Had four wins over NCAA Division I opponents.
Before CMU: Played indoor volleyball for five seasons at MSU Denver before joining the Maverick beach program in Spring, 2022… Recorded 2,106 assists, 691 digs and 129 service aces in 123 career matches as a setter in the Roadrunners’ 6-2 offensive attack… Finished her MSU Denver career ranked sixth in career assists and fourth in career aces during the rally-scoring era (2001-Present)… Played in all five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament Championship matches during her career, including in 2018 against CMU… Was a part of all four possible NCAA Division II Tournaments during her award-winning career in the state capital… Graduated from MSU Denver in 2021 and is now working on a second degree in surgical technology at CMU.
Fall 2021 (Super Senior): Earned All-RMAC honorable mention honors at the setter position after helping lead the Roadrunners to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional final, a RMAC regular season championship and No. 3 ranking in the final AVCA Division II Coaches’ Poll… The squad also won the Colorado Premier Challenge title… Was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 and RMAC All-Academic First Team… Recorded 623 assists while playing in a 6-2 system for the Roadrunners… Appeared in all 32 matches and 120 sets of their 28-4 (18-0 RMAC) season, made possible by the automatic COVID-19 eligibility wavier… Was the starter in seven matches… Also recorded 34 aces and a career-most 203 digs… Named to the Western Washington Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Spring 2021 (Senior): Earned All-RMAC honorable mention and RMAC All-Academic First Team honors after leading the Roadrunners in assists (302)… Shared setting duties for the Roadrunners, who went 15-2 overall and 11-1 in the RMAC during the pandemic-delayed and abbreviated season… Played in all 17 matches, making three starts… Played in 57 of the team’s 58 sets… Also had 17 aces and 116 digs… Named as the RMAC Setter of the Week on Mar. 15… Received the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
2019 (Junior): Named RMAC Co-Academic Player of the Year alongside teammate Alyssa Kelling… Named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the first of three successive seasons… Led the RMAC with 52 aces, the Roadrunners’ third highest single-season total during the rally-scoring era… Was ranked 19th nationally and second in the RMAC for aces per set (0.48)… Played in all 31 of the Roadrunner’s matches, making 24 starts at setter… Played in 108 of the team’s 111 sets, recording 595 assists and 174 digs, helping lead the team to a 23-8 (16-2 RMAC) season and a trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
2018 (Sophomore): Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Played in 30 of the Roadrunner’s 31 matches, helping them to a 21-10 (15-3 RMAC) record and NCAA Tournament appearance… Made 15 starts while leading the team in assists (552)… Also recorded 22 service aces and 185 digs.
2017 (Freshman): Played in 13 matches and 21 sets during her first collegiate season… Made a start in the RMAC Tournament final against Regis… Recorded 34 assists, 14 digs and four aces… Helped the team qualify for the NCAA Tournament and go 22-9 (16-2 RMAC).
Prep: Graduated from Berthoud High School in 2017... Named as the Tri-Valley Player of the Year as a senior in the fall of 2016… Was also an honorable mention all-state selection that year… Served as team captain for two years... Received academic all-state honors in both 2015 and 2016… Named both the 2017 Surveyor and Berthoud High School Athlete of the Year... Earned two letters in track.. .National Honor Society member.
Club Team: Played for NORCO Volleyball Club...Coached by Michelle Buckner.
Personal: Daughter of Dan and Paula Megenhardt...Sister, Anna, was a three-time All-American pole vaulter at Hastings (Neb.) College.
Why I Chose CMU: “To be able to continue my education to eventually go to PA school. I also was excited about the beach volleyball program with great coaches and players.”
