2025 (As a Freshman): Posted a 5-1 record with partner Lucy Kaufman on Court 5 after playing in earlier exhibition matches with Sofia Kolbe at the start of the season… Won her final three decisions with Kaufman, all against NCAA Division I foes at the Boise State Classic.

Before CMU: Spent the 2024 fall semester playing indoor volleyball at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida… Played in 77 sets and 22 matches for the Sharks… Made four starts… Recorded 13 kills and 134 digs… Made 11 digs in the NCAA Tournament match against Barry.

Prep: 2024 graduate of Grandview High School… Was a First Team All-State and the Centennial League Player of the Year for indoor volleyball as a senior in the fall of 2023… Earned first team all-league honors in both 2022 and 2023.

Personal: Is majoring in psychology… Daughter of Shayna and Bart Deferme… Has an older sister—Maya… Loves working out and hanging out with friends and family.
