2025-26: Led the Mavericks at the Women’s Collegiate Triathlon National Championships, finishing 17th amongst Division II finishers and 71st overall… Garnered CTCA Honorable Mention All-America honors thanks to that effort… Was the Mavs’ No. 2 finisher at the West Regional Championships, claiming CTCA All-Region honors for the second straight year with her 35th place overall finish and fifth place positioning amongst Division II triathletes… Was also the Mavs’ second finisher at the Desert’s Edge Cup… Won the Maverick Aquathlon against Black Hills State in the spring… Was named as a CTCA Scholar All-American.

2024 (Freshman): Earned CTCA West All-Region Freshman honors as the top Division II freshman at the West National Qualifier in Springfield, Missouri… Also earned CTCA All-Region honors as the second overall finisher in the Division at that race, while leading the team to a second place team finish in the D-II standings… Placed 28th overall, earning a spot in the top wave of the Women’s Collegiate Triathlon Championships… Finished 100th overall and 30th amongst Division II finishers at the national meet… Started her collegiate career by taking 21st overall and second on the team at the Southern Hills Triathlon… Was fifth on the team’ at the Desert’s Edge Triathlon, which only included Mavericks in the collegiate wave… Was fourth on the team and 45th overall at the Battle in the Fort... Was named as a CTCA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American.

Prep: 2024 graduate of Amador Valley High School… Represented the United States at the 2022 (November) World Triathlon Age-Group Championships in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates… Took the silver medal in the 15-19 Super Sprint event with a time of 37:15… Had earlier helped the U.S. win the Mixed 15-19 relay title at the 2022 Sprint & Relay Championships in Montreal, Canada on June 26… Had finished 11th in the individual race the day prior (June 25) with a time of 1:13.00… Took second overall and won the 15-19 age group at the 2023 Draft-Legal Sprint National Championships in Irving, Texas.

Personal: Is majoring in exercise science… Aspires to become a coach… Daughter of Rozel Tupaz and Millard Canceran… Has one younger sibling— Yuri.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I love the location as well as the environment of being more athletics-based than other schools.”
