Biography

As a Redshirt Freshman (2021-22): Competed four races during the fall season… Finished 31st at the Southern Hills Triathlon and 17th at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede cross country meet to begin the season… Placed 43rd individually at the West Regional Qualifier before placing eighth in the 20-24 age-group at the Sun Devil Draft Legal Classic, held on the same day and on a similar course to the Women’s Collegiate Triathlon National Championships... Went on to finish 42nd as CMU's No. 3 finisher at the Clermont Draft Legal Challenge NCAA race in March, 2022... Finished the sprint formate race in 36:55.

Before CMU: Attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado during the 2020-21 academic year.
 
Prep: 2020 class valedictorian and multi-sport standout at Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, Washington… Helped lead the Grizzlies to a 2018 4A Washington State title in cross country… The team also won four Wesco league and three district titles during her prep career… Finished as the 20th overall female at the 2019 RedBull400 World Championships… Was second in her age group at the XTERRA Trail Run World Championships… Also competed in track and lacrosse in 2018 and 2017… Was a 2017 Brine All-American and 2018 Team Washington lacrosse player… Earned the WIAA Outstanding Scholastic Award four times (2016-19).
 
Personal: Is majoring in nursing… Daughter of David and Kerry Watkins… Sister Maya plays beach volleyball at Boise State… Enjoys the mountains, especially ty trail running, biking or hiking… Also enjoys reading and is a big dog lover… Hopes to pursue a career in the medical field and take her work internationally.
