th as the team’s fifth finisher at the Southern Hills Triathlon before leading the team at the Desert’s Edge Triathlon, which only included Mavericks in the collegiate wave… Missed the remainder of the season due to injury.
2023-24 (Sophomore): Raced six times as a consistent member of the Mavs’ top seven during the fall season… Placed 97
th overall and 27
th amongst Division II finishers at the Women’s Collegiate Triathlon National Championships, recording a time of 1:14.57… Placed 53
rd overall and 14
th in the Division II portion of the field at the West National Qualifier in Springfield, Missouri… Was the Mavs’ seventh finisher at both championship races… Was also seventh on the team and 29
th overall at the Black Hills Collegiate Cup… Helped the Mavs’ “A” team to a second place finish at the Yellow Jacket Relays a day earlier… Was third overall and on the podium at the Desert’s Edge Triathlon after starting the season with a 13
th place finish at the Denver Aquathlon Eliminator, where she won the consolation heat in 6:38.5… Also raced in both spring triathlons, placing 44
th in the NCAA race at the Clermont Draft Legal after taking 65
th in the National Development race.
2022-23 (Freshman): Competed in three races during the academic year… Was injured during the Southern Hills Triathlon, which kept her out of much of the fall championship season, although she did return to finish 16
th at the Bear Athlon… Finished 14
th at the Black Hills State Tri-Fest during the spring.
Personal: Is majoring in biology with a minor in forensic anthropology… Thinks the concept of examining bones and seeing how people lived from these bones is bizarre… Wants to use this degree and associated skills to work for the FBI one day.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose to attend CMU because I love the outdoor landscape that Colorado has to offer, especially the beautiful mountains, the dedicated minor in forensic anthropology, the specific faculty expertise in forensic anthropology and the opportunity to gain experience in the Forensic Investigation & Research Station.”
