As a Redshirt Junior (2023): Was selected to the First Team NFCA All-South Central Region squad… Also earned RMAC All-Tournament team and Honorable Mention All-RMAC honors… Played in 53 games, making 51 starts in four positions, most often at first base (38)… Also started eight games as the designated player, five at third base and three at pitcher… Hit .349 (53-152) with 11 doubles, one triple and four home runs… Had a .513 slugging percentage and .408 on-base percentage… Drew 17 walks… Scored 23 runs while driving in 26… Stole three bases and had four sacrifice flies, equal to the second most in the RMAC… Made just five errors defensively, recording a .983 fielding percentage… Led the team with a 16-game hitting streak from Feb. 19 through Mar. 18… Had 13 multiple-hit games and eight 2-RBI games… Had three hits in three different games… Made eight pitching appearances, including three starts… Posted a 2-4 record and 4.67 ERA… Threw 15 innings allowing 18 hits and 10 earned runs… Had seven strikeouts.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2022): Played in 38 games, making 28 starts at first base in a platoon system with Ava Fugate… The Mavs went 26-2 when she was in the starting lineup… Hit .360 (32-89) while recording nine home runs and five doubles… Scored 25 runs while driving in 23… Had .719 slugging and .420 on-base percentages to finish with a 1.139 OPS… Had seven multiple-hit and six-multiple RBI games… Hit two home runs while registering three RBIs in an 11-0 CMU win during the final game of a key series against Colorado Christian (Apr. 24)... Recorded a solid .990 fielding percentage, committing just two errors in 191 total chances… Had 188 putouts and was involved in 11 double plays.
As a Redshirt Freshman (2021): Played in 14 games, making three starts at the corner infield positions (2 at first base, 1 at third base)… Was also used as a pinch hitter… Hit .231 (3-13) offensively… Had one double, four runs scored and four RBIs… Aldo drew three walks and was hit three other times to post a .450 on-base percentage… Was perfect in 13 total defensive chances… Had her double as part of a 1-for-2 game at Black Hills State on Apr. 10… Scored two runs on Mar. 21 against Adams State, the second of her three starts.
As a Freshman (2020): Played in five games during the Mavs' COVID-19 shortened season... Drew one walk in four plate appearances offensively... Made one appearance in the circle, throwing two innings of relief in an 8-4 first game win over Chadron State on Feb. 23... Allowed four hits, two runs and two walks in that stint.
Prep: Was a second-team all-state selection as a senior for the Buddy Kouns coached Berthoud HS Spartans… Earned all-conference honors as a sophomore, junior and senior… Had a .436 career batting average and 271 strikeouts as a pitcher… Earned all-area honors as a sophomore and was a first team all-academic team pick as a junior and senior.
Club: Played for the Triple Crown Stars and coaches Dave King, Erica Judge and Steph Klaviter.
Personal: Is majoring in physical therapy… Wants to earn a doctorate in physical therapy to have more flexibility to go different routes in the field… I want to work with injured athletes that are working to get back to their sport because I can relate to them… Daughter of Jason and Suzanne Jorissen… Has one younger brother, Matthew… Enjoys boating, water skiing, tubing, knee boarding with friends and family… Also loves to ride horses and competed on them in high school.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because it was a good fit for me size wise. I knew that the softball and academic programs would push me. CMU is also far enough away from home to be independent, but close enough to go home if needed.”
