2025 (As a Redshirt Sophomore): Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the second straight season… Was also named to the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list… Played in 28 games while making 21 starts.. Made 13 of those starts behind the plate and eight others as the Mavs’ designated hitter… Hit .308 (20-65) at the plate… Recorded seven doubles and a home run… Tallied 17 RBIs while scoring eight runs… Had a .462 slugging percentage, fourth highest on the team… Had a .355 on-base percentage… Had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on 51 total chances… Had four sacrifice flies and three sacrifice hits… Had five multiple-hit efforts, including a 3-for-5 game at Black Hills State… Drove in a career-high six runs in that game… Had two doubles in it as well.
2024 (As a Sophomore): Appeared in four early season games, making one start at catcher on the opening day of the season against Texas Woman’s (Feb. 2)… Went 0-for-5 offensively… Recorded one putout defensively… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2023 (As a Freshman): Played in 29 games, making 23 starts as the team’s back-up catcher… Recorded 16 hits in 65 at-bats, good for a .246 batting average… Also drew ten walks to register a .355 on-base percentage… Scored seven runs while driving in nine… Hit three doubles.
Prep: Completed high school a semester early after the fall of 2022… Was a 2-time All-Southwestern League and 2-time Academic All-State performer for the Warriors, coached by Aaron Berk.
Personal: Is majoring in exercise science… Plans to go on to physician’s assistant school after completing her exercise science degree… Daughter of Marc and Megan Litzen… Has one younger sibling— Sophie… Enjoys working out and being active frequently… Loves to travel and spend time with her family.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I have followed the program since I was little. I always loved the dynamic of the softball team and the culture of the school. CMU has great academics and a softball team I am honored to be a part of.”
