As a Redshirt Junior (2022): Capped her solid career with her best season, earning Second Team All-RMAC honors… Played and started 51 of the team’s 54 games, all at third base… Led the Mavericks with her .383 batting average, going 54-for141 at the plate… Was ranked tenth in the RMAC… Also finished eighth in the conference for both slugging percentage (.738) and OPS (1.177)… Was tied for second on the team and fifth in the conference with 13 home runs… Also had nine doubles and a triple to finish with 23 extra-base hits and 104 total bases… Scored 39 runs, third most on the squad, while driving in 41, equal to third most on the squad… Led the team with 19 multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-3 effort, 5-RBI effort in an RMAC Tournament win over Fort Lewis (May 6)… Had 12 multiple-RBI games, driving in five runs on three separate occasions… Had three two-homer games… Hit a grand slam on Apr. 3 at New Mexico Highlands… Was hit by ten pitches to lead the team while ranking second in the entire RMAC… Finished with a .439 on-base percentages… Stole 11 bases on 13 attempts… Had a .932 fielding percentage at the hot-corner… Also shined academically, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 honors after being named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the third straight year.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2021): Earned Honorable Mention All-RMAC honors at third base after hitting .363 (53-146) with 19 extra-base hits, including ten home runs… Was tied for eighth in the RMAC with that total… Was tied for sixth in the RMAC with 44 RBIs… Averaged exactly one per game having played and started in all 44 of the Mavs’ games, making 42 starts at third base and two others in left field… Was the Mavs’ clean-up hitter in 25 games and in the No. 5 spot of the line-up in 15 others… Had a .637 slugging percentage and .414 on-base percentage… Drew nine walks and five hit by pitches… Was a perfect 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts… Had a 21-game hitting streak, the longest of any Maverick all season, from Mar. 6-Apr. 17, raising her season batting average to a high as .455 in that stretch… Had a pair of 4-RBI games in that spurt, going 3-for-3 against Adams State (Mar. 20) and 2-for-4 in the series finale against Regis on Mar. 29… Finished with 16 multiple-hit games, recording three hits in five different contests… Had 12 multiple-RBI games… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the second straight season.
As a Sophomore (2020): RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection... Played in nine games, making two starts in the infield... Was perfect in eight total defensive chances... Went 2-for-10 (.200) at the plate... Scored three runs and drove in two... Also drew two walks and was hit by one pitch.
As a Freshman (2019): Played in 18 games, making five starts at third base... Went 4-for-20 (.200) at the plate... Drove in two runs and was walked twice... Recorded 11 assists while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, defensively.
Prep: Earned three straight First Team All-4A Greater St. Helens League honors while playing for the Skyview HS Storm, coached by Kim Anthony… Was selected as an infielder as a junior (2017) and senior (2018) after being picked as an outfielder in 2016.
Club: Played for the Washington Illusion, coached by Jon Paul and Brent Harris.
Personal: Is majoring in cellular and molecular biology… Daughter of Rusty and Diana Christensen… Has one older sister (Ashley)… Aspires for a career in veterinary medicine… In addition to softball, enjoys playing soccer and basketball… Also enjoys hiking, kayaking and working with animals.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU for the environment and the feel of the campus. When I took my visit here, the scenery, the people and the education that I would get here, made me feel as through going here was the right choice.”
