As a Redshirt Junior (2022): Played in 18 games, making 11 starts as a key member of the Mavs’ RMAC title-winning run… Started nine times at catcher and two as the designated player… The Mavs were 9-0 in games when she was behind the plate… Hit an impressive .438 (14-32) while four doubles and two home runs… Scored nine runs while driving in eight… Drew four walks and was hit by three pitches while striking out just one time… Had a .538 on-base percentage and .750 slugging percentage, allowing her to finish with a 1.288 OPS… Had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on 48 total chances… Did not allow a single passed ball and gunned down her only would-be base stealer… Named to RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the third straight year.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2021): Played in seven games as a reserve catcher and pinch-hitter… Started four games, including three behind the plate and one as the Mavs’ designated player… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Was a solid .429 (6-14), while slugging at a .643 clip at the plate… Scored five home runs and drove in three, hitting one home run (Mar. 21 vs. Adams State)… Had a 2-for-2 day against the Colorado School of Mines (Mar. 6) and a 2-for-4 effort in a Apr. 10 start against Black Hills State… Scored three runs against the Yellow Jackets as well.
As a Sophomore (2020): RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection... Made eight starts as the Mavericks' catcher in the COVID-19 shortened season... Hit .105 at the plate, going 2-for-19... Also drew three walks while posing a .217 on-base percentage... Scored three runs and drove in her first career run on Mar. 7 against the Colorado School of Mines... Scored twice in a Feb. 6 win over Central Washington... Was perfect in 62 defensive chances... Threw out six would-be base stealers in 19 attempts.
As a Freshman (2019): Played in ten games, making two starts as a reserve catcher... Drew two walks and was hit by a pitch in nine plate appearances to record a .333 on-base percentage... Scored one run... Was perfect in 23 total defensive chances.
Prep: Played for Coach Randy Felton and the Mountain View HS Mountain Lions.
Personal: Is majoring in radiology… Daughter of Scott and Jana Barker… Twin brother Braden plays baseball at UCCS… Enjoys fishing, hiking, wrestling and playing with her dogs.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because the softball team has had tremendous success throughout the years and I have enjoyed getting to know the coaches and their perception of softball.”
