As a Redshirt Freshman (2021): Played in 39 games, making 34 starts in left field… Hit in the No. 9 spot of the lineup in 31 of those starts and was the Mavs’ lead-off hitter in the other three… Hit .306 (26-85) as a slap-hitter… Scored 32 runs and drew ten walks to finish with a .379 on-base percentage… Stole 19 bases and was caught just twice… Was tied for second in the RMAC for stolen bases… Recorded six RBIs and had six multiple-hit games… Went a combined 4-for-5 with five runs scored in an Apr. 18 doubleheader against UCCS.  

As a Freshman (2020): Played in three games as a pinch-runner during the COVID-19 shortened season... All three appearances came in what would end up being the final weekend of the campaign against the Colorado School of Mines... Scored two runs.

Prep: Played for the Carrie Oletski coached Conifer HS Lobos.

Personal: Is undecided upon an exact major, but aspires to find a career in the STEM field and knows she wants to work with math and science... Daughter of Rhonda and Jason Sims… Has one younger brother— Gage… Enjoys spending time outdoors or with her family.

Why I Chose CMU: “I love being outdoors and Grand Junction offers me a wide variety of outdoor activities. Plus, it’s the perfect distance from my hometown to be out on my own, but not so far that I would have to leave my favorite state.”
