Kris Mort is in her 26th year at Colorado Mesa University where she is currently the Senior Woman Administrator.
Prior to working in the administration, Mort spent 19 years as the head coach of the Colorado Mesa softball program where she compiled a 542-353 record. Her teams appeared in eight NCAA Regional Tournaments and one Elite Eight year in 2000. She retired as the longest tenured and accrued the most wins in Maverick softball history.
A graduate of Colorado Mesa University (formerly Mesa State College), she earned a bachelor's degree in Human Performance and Wellness along with a K-12 teaching certificate. She received a Master's of Art, Curriculum and Instruction through Colorado Christian University in 1998.
