2025 Outdoor (Sophomore): Ran in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Finished 19
th in the 100 meters with a time of 11.14 seconds… Set a wind-aided season-best of 10.84 (+4.0) at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird to open the season… Contested the 200 meters at the first three meets of the season… Had a season-best time of 22.37 at the Maverick Invitational… Also helped the Mavs win the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 40.92 seconds at that meet, a time that ranks 11
th in program history… Named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.
2024-25 Indoor (Sophomore): Sprinted in seven meets, contesting the 60 meters at each… Also ran the 200 meters on four occasions… Qualified for the RMAC Championships in the 60, placing 15
th with a season-best time of 6.96 seconds… Had three top-5 finishes throughout the season… Had a season-best time of 22.50 seconds in the 200 at the Colorado Invitational… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2024 Outdoor (Freshman): Ran in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested the 100 meters in all four while running the 200 at one… Also helped the Mavs win the 4x100-meter relay at the Maverick Invite & Multi in 41.13 seconds… Set a wind-aided time of 10.75 in the 100 at the Maverick Invite & Multi to qualify for the RMAC Championships… Finished 21
st in 10.92 at the conference meet… Also had another wind-aided time of 10.83 at the Maverick Invite #2 and a wind-legal season-best of 10.84 at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing… Posted a time of 22.27 in the 200 at that meet.
2023-24 Indoor (Freshman): Ran in three meets, contesting the 60 meters at each… Also ran the 200 meters on one occasion at the Mountaineer Open… Set a season-best of 6.94 seconds in the 60 at the Big Red Machine Open… Won that event in 6.95 seconds at the Western Colorado Open… Finished the 200 in 23.10 seconds at the Mountaineer Open.
Prep: 2023 graduate of Widefield High School… Was a second team all-conference performer for the Malcom Miller coached Gladiators… Also earned first team academic all-conference honors in the 4A Pikes Peak Athletic Conference… Qualified for state in five different events… Placed 11
th in the 100 and 13
th in the 200 at the 2023 state meet… Won both events at the Canon City Blossom Invitational.
Personal: Is majoring in environmental science… Sees himself working in that field in a coastal region… Would like to work on different research projects in the field and not constantly behind a desk… Son of Cynthia Parker and Warren Mathews… Has an older brother— Wyatt… Enjoys spending a good amount of time in the outdoors… Also likes to play Spikeball with friends, going on hikes and enjoying nature as well as playing video games whenever he has time.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I heard of their track team, and it was thriving and could be beneficial in the sprints side. I had seen the amount that it deals with environmental science majors and heard it was perfect for that major, which persuaded me to come.”
