2019-20 Indoor (Senior): Redshirt season.
2019 Outdoor (Junior): Competed in four meets... Qualified for the RMAC Championships in both the long jump and 100 meters... Placed ninth in the 100 and tenth in the long jump... Also ran a leg on the Mavs' fifth-place relay team... Helped post the 12th fastest relay time in CMU history (42.23) during the preliminary round... Was a member of the school-record setting team, which posted a time of 41.41 at the Mines Kit Mayer Invite... Had a career-best 100-meter time of 10.80 to rank third in program history at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open... Was ranked 10th on the RMAC season-long performance list at 10.83 (converted)... Had a season-best long jump mark of 6.68m/21-11 at the Fum McGraw Open.
2018-19 Indoor (Junior): Competed in six meets... Qualified for the RMAC Championships in both the 60 meters and long jump... Finished 11th in the 60 and 13th in the long jump... Had won the 60 at the season-opening Western Colorado Open... Posted a career-best time of 6.97 in the preliminaries at that meet to rank fourth in program history... Had a season-best long jump effort of 6.91 meters (22-8) a week later at the Mines Alumni Classic & Multi.
2018 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in five meets, contesting the long jump at each... Had a season-best mark of 7.03m (23-0.25) to open the season at the Mines Nature's Bakery Invite... Won the event at the Western/GHS Combined Invitational before finishing tenth at the RMAC Championships... Helped the Mavericks finish fourth in the 4x100-meter relay at the RMAC Championships with a time of 41.73 seconds, third fastest in program history... Was also a member of the No. 6 ranked team that posted a time of 41.83 seconds to take third at the Mines Nature's Bakery Invite... Ran the 200 meters once, posting a time of 23.67 at the Western/GHS Combined Invitational in his collegiate debut of that discipline.
2017-18 Indoor (Sophomore): Contested the long jump at all six meets he went to... Finished sixth at the RMACÂ Championships to earn Second Team All-RMAC honors... Had a season-best of 7.00m (22-11.75) at the Mines D-II Invite and Multi... Also ran the 60 meters at his last three meets... Had a season-best time of 7.11 at the Western Alumni Open.
2017 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in five meets... Finished seventh in the long jump at the RMAC Championships... Set the school-record in the long jump two weeks earlier at the Western State/GHS Combined Invitational with a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 7.36m (24-1.75)... Won that day and again at the Mines Friday Last Chance, when he jumped 7.24m (23-9)... Led the RMAC's season-long performance list while finishing 25th nationally... Earned USTFCCCA All-South Central Region honors.
2016-17 Indoor (Freshman): Won the RMAC title and First Team All-RMAC honors in the long jump with a mark of 7.06m (23-2)... Competed in five meets, contesting the event at each... Was first or second in four of them... Set the school-record in his debut, leaping 7.19m (23-7.25) at the Mines Alumni Classic & Multi... That mark was a NCAA provisional qualifier and ranked him second on the season-long RMAC performance list and 30th nationally... Earned USTFCCCA All-South Central Region honors... Finished second on that day before winning the event at the Western State Open... Also ran the 60 meters at the Mines meet, posting a time of 7.26 seconds... Was the anchor leg on the Mavs' 4x400-meter relay at the Western State Alumni Open, helping the team record a time of 3:30.81 to rank eighth in program history.
Prep: Won the long jump at the Southern Regionals with a high-school personal best of 23-2 as a senior (2016) at Silverado HS... Won the triple jump at the Mt. SAC Relays that year with a mark of 44-5.75... Placed third at the 2015 Nevada State Track & Field Championships in the long jump as a junior... Was fifth in the triple jump.
Personal: Is majoring in social work... Son of Tamica Davis, Tonya Stephens and Vernon Jackson, Sr.... Sibling is Ladale... Enjoys writing poetry.
