2019-29 (Redshirt Sophomore): Did not compete in any meets.
2018-19 (Redshirt Freshman): Ran the 60 and 200 meters at the season-opening Western Colorado Open... Posted times of 7.40 and 24.72... Earned RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll pladuits. Did not compete outdoors.
2017-18 (Freshman): Redshirt year.
Prep: Ran for coaches Jeff Shroll and Sierra Green at Eagle Valley HS... Graduated in 2017... Had season-bests of 11.99 and 24.48 in the 100 and 200-meter dashes as a senior with the Devils.
Personal: Is majoring in exercise science with a minor in psychology... Son of Shane Erickson and Maria Villanueva... Has three siblings (Maia, Natalia, James)... James plays basketball at Lamar Community College... Aspires to obtain a master's degree and then become a strength and conditioning coach for a college or professional sports team.
Why I Chose CMU: "CMU was the most affordable place to get my degree and it’s not too far away from my parents."
