th on the season-long performance list… Had qualified for the conference meet thanks to a seventh place time of 1:55.90 at the Maverick Invitational… Also ran on the Mavs’ “B” 4x400 relay team at that meet that finished third in 3:24.99.
2024-25 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): RMAC Academic Honor Roll selection… Ran in four meets, contesting the 800 meters at each… Set a season-best time of 1:57.37 at the Colorado Invitational (Feb. 1)… Ranks ninth in program history with that mark… Also ran on 4x400-meter relay teams at two meets.
2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Ran in two home meets… Posted a 400-meter time of 52.32 seconds at the Maverick Invite & Multi… Also helped a 4x400 relay team to a time of 3:36.12 at that meet… Contested the 400-meter hurdles at the Maverick Invite #2, finishing in 1:01.49.
2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Did not race in any meets.
2023 Outdoor (Freshman): Redshirt season… Ran unattached at the Maverick Invite, finishing sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.42.
2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Redshirt season… Competed unattached in three meets… Ran the 800 meters at each, recording a season-best time of 2:06.97 at the Western Colorado Open.
Prep: 3-year varsity letter-winner in cross country and swimming at O’Dea High School in Seattle… Was a 2-time letter-winner in track… Finished ninth in the 800 meters at the Washington 3A State Championships as a senior in 2022 with a PR time of 1:58.39… Claimed two event wins four other second place finishes during the season, which also saw him set PRs of 53.49 (400) and 4:32.48 (1600)… Qualified for the 3A State Cross Country Championships during his 2021 senior season, placing 100
th… Set a 5K PR of 16:05.10 to finish 14
th at the Metro League Championships before taking 32
nd at the Sea-King District 2 Championships.
Personal: Is majoring in physics... Son of Tim and Nicole Leary… Has two older siblings— Jack and Kate… Kate is on the CMU swimming team… Enjoys watching movies, rock climbing, playing video games and watching sports.
