2019 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Ran in the 200 and 400 meters at two meets... Posted a career-best time of 54.33 in the 400 at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open... Would go on to post a career-best time of 24.29w at the Mines Kit Mayer Invite.

2018-19 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in two meets, both in Gunnison... Ran a season-best time of 56.37 in the 400 meters at the Western Colorado Open on Dec. 1... Also ran on a Maverick 4x400-meter relay team at that meet.

2018 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore) Competed in the 200 and 400 meters at the Western/GHS Combined Invitational in Gunnison, his lone meet of the campaign... Posted times of 24.45 and 54.39.

2017-18 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in two events... Ran season-best times of 25.37 (200) and 56.15 (400) at the Western Alumni Open.

2017 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in five meets...Ran season-bests of 25.05 in the 200, 54.76 in the 400 and 1:01.63 in the 400 hurdles.

2016-17 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Did Not Compete.

2015-16 (Freshman): Redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Prep: Had a personal-best time of 42.87 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles at the 2015 EMAC Championships as a senior... Was a league finalist for coach Karen Smidt and the Brighton HS Bulldogs for three straight years.

Personal: Is majoring in health and fitness promotion... Plans on going on to graduate school to obtain a master's degree in occupational therapy... Son of Brian and Jackie Martinez... Has two brothers - Michael and Auggie... Enjoys watching movies, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.

Why I Chose CMU: "I chose CMU for the Kineseology program, the athletics and the environment. The community here at CMU is amazing everybody is friendly and the classes and professors here are awesome and they want us to succeed."
