Biography
Prep: 2025 graduate of Grand Junction High School... Coached by Dustin Giesenhagen… Was a Second Team 4A All-State selection in the 100 meters as a junior in 2024… Finished third at that year’s state championships for the Tigers… Also placed 11th in the 200 and 12th in the long jump that year… Won the 100 and 200-meter titles while taking second in the long jump at the 2024 Southwestern League Championships… Claimed seven event wins in a limited senior season while setting PRs of 10.86 (100) and 22-0.5 (LJ)… Has other PRs of 22.32 (200) and 6.91 (Indoor 60).
Personal: Is majoring in nursing with aspirations of becoming a nurse practitioner or something along those lines… Son of Akira and Gary Anderson… Has two siblings— Akaya and Samya… Enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and video games.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of the great atmosphere and amazing coaches. I also like the fact that I am still close with my family and able to see them every day.”
