Biography
2022 Outdoor: Competed unattached in two of CMU’s home meets… Ran the 800 in 2:09.03 at the Maverick Invite #1 before running to a time of 2:04.40 at the Maverick Invite #2.
2021-22 Indoor: Did not compete.
2020-21: Attended CMU but was not on the Maverick team.
Prep: 2020 graduate of Poudre High School… Ran for the Jeramie Thomas coached Impalas… 2-time state qualifier and 3-timer Nike Cross Regional participant in cross country… Set an 800-meter PR of 2:00.53 at the 2019 Front Range League Championships, where he placed fifth as a junior… Also had a 1,600 meter PR of 5:02.68 that year… His senior season was canceled due to COVID.
Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering… Son of Gretchen and Dale Tasker… Has an older brother— Luke… Lists practicing Christianity as his top priority in life ahead of school and athletics… “I enjoy applying the teachings of Jesus and the Bible to my life, as well as having spiritual conversations with others.”… Also enjoys to spend time with family and friends, go camping, being outdoors, playing cards, cooking and reading… Aspires for a career that would help make the world a better place through the design and development of clean technologies… Says it would be great to travel to different parts of the U.S. and the world to make a difference and improve the lives of people living in other places.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of the Distinguished Scholarship I was offered, which covered full-tuition. I also wanted to get away from home and live in a new area.”
