2025 Outdoor (Sophomore): Ran in five meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested the 100 meters at all five while recording four top-10 finishes… Also ran on the Mavs’ 4x100-meter relay team three times while contesting the 200 meters once… Set a wind-aided season-best time of 10.41 (+2.8) seconds to advance to the finals at the APU Franson Last Chance… Led the RMAC’s season-long performance list with that effort… That time ranks him second on CMU’s all-conditions performers list… Had a wind-legal time of 10.52 at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi to rank third in the Mavs’ official top 10 list… Placed seventh at the RMAC Championships with a time of 10.69… Also earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the relay as the Mavs set a school-record time of 40.21… The Mavs ranked second on the RMAC season-long list with the NCAA Championship provisional qualifying time of 40.33 (altitude-adjusted)… Also ran on the No. 8 and No. 11 relay teams in CMU history earlier in the season… Ran to a time of 21.57 seconds in the 200 at the Jo Meaker meet in Canyon, Texas… Ranks fourth in CMU history with that time… Was also ranked 19
th on the RMAC season-long performance list with the altitude-adjusted mark of 21.64.
2024-25 Indoor (Sophomore): Ran the 60 meters in five meets, including the RMAC Championships… Claimed Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fifth place finish… Ran career-best times of 6.82 seconds in both the preliminary and final rounds… Is tied for fifth in program history with that time… Also tied for sixth on the RMAC season-long performers list with teammate Amaris Mora with the altitude-adjusted time of 6.86… Had a consistent season, running times between 6.82 and 6.87 seconds in six of his seven total efforts… Registered wins at both of the ASU Qualifer meets on Jan. 24 and 25… Also took second at the Mountaineer Open to open the season on Dec. 7.
2024 Outdoor (Freshman): Ran in five meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 100 meters and 4x100-meter relay after placing fifth in the 100 after helping the Mavs take second in the relay… Had a wind-aided time of 10.55 at the Maverick Invite & Multi after posting his wind-legal season-best of 10.63 in his first collegiate attempt at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing…Was ranked seventh on the RMAC’s season long performers list with his altitude-adjusted time of 10.58… Helped the Mavs set the former school-record of 40.33 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay at that same meet… The Mavs were provisional NCAA qualifiers and finished third on the RMAC performance list with that effort… Was also a part of the fourth fastest relay effort, the RMAC Championship silver medal-winning effort of 40.37 seconds… Also helped the Mavs win the event at the Maverick Invite No. 2 in 41.07 seconds... Ran the 200 meters on two occasions, setting a wind-aided time of 21.57 at the CSU Pueblo meet to qualify for the RMAC Championships, where he finished 15
th in a wind-legal 21.89 seconds… Set a RMAC Championship preliminary round time of 10.64 in the 100 to qualify for the finals, where he ran a time of 10.81 seconds into a strong 2.1 mps headwind... Was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2023-24 Indoor (Freshman): Sprinted in four meets, contesting the 60 meters at all four… Qualified for the RMAC Championships with a season-best time of 6.85 seconds (6.89-converted) in the preliminary heats of the Big Red Machine Open before taking second in the finals of that meet… Went on to finish tenth at the RMAC Championships with a time of 6.96 seconds… Was ranked ninth on the RMAC’s season-long performers list with his converted time… Contested the 200 meters once, running to a time of 25.78 at the Mountaineer Open.
Prep: 2023 graduate of Cheyenne East High School… Was a 2-time Nike Outdoor and 2-time New Balance Indoor Nationals Qualifier… Coached by Jesse Blunn… Placed eighth in both the 60 and 200 at the 2023 Wyoming Indoor State Championships for the T-Birds… Finished third in both the 100 and 200 at the 2022 outdoor championships at the end of his junior season… Also finished third in the 60 and eighth in the 200 at that year’s state indoor meet… Had PR times of 6.49 (55), 10.62 (100) and 22.15 seconds (200) to his credit.
Personal: Is majoring in exercise science… Aspires to become a physical therapist after graduation… Son of Melinda and Richard Cummings… Sister Amira competes in track and field at Concordia University… Chose CMU for the good program and great coaches.
