- First Team All-RMAC (400m Hurdles-2017)
- 400m Hurdles School Record Holder
2017 Outdoor (Freshman): Earned First Team All-RMAC honors with a third place finish in the 400 hurdles with school-record time of 53.38... Competed in six meets in that event and on relays... Ran relay legs on both the 4x100 and 4x400 squads at the RMAC... Helped the team place seventh in the 4x100 (42.47) and ninth in the 4x400 (3:23.77).
2016-17 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in five meets, running the 200 and 400 meters and on relay teams... Ran season-bests of 23.42 in the 200 and 52.40 in the 400... Won the 400 at the Western State Alumni Open wit that time... Ran a leg on the 4x400-meter relay team that placed ninth at the RMAC Championships (3:27.01).
Prep: Ran for Coach Tony Alvarez and the Mission HS Eagles... Graduated in 2016... Also trained with Coach Ivan Archer and 956 Training in the summer.
Personal: Son of Ramiro and Victoria Garcia... Is majoring in criminal justice... Plans to join the Navy after earning his degree and then retiring from the military to become a teacher and coach in his hometown... Enjoys hiking, playing intramural sports and talking to family.
