2021 Outdoor (Freshman): Ran in four meets, contesting both the 110-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash in each of the three home meets… Qualified for and finished 11
th in the hurdles at the RMAC Championships… Turned in a season-best time of 15.53 seconds to do so… Ranks seventh in program-history with that effort… Had a season-best time of 23.12 in the 200 at the Maverick Multi & Open.
2021 Indoor (Freshman): Ran the 60-meter hurdles in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Had a season-best time of 8.85 seconds in his debut at the Western Slope Challenge… Finished 12
th at the conference meet in 8.86… Posted a time of 23.96 seconds in his lone attempt at the 200 meters during the Adams State Grizzly Open.
Prep: Finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles and 11
th in the 300-meter hurdles at the 2019 4A State Championships for the Discovery Canyon HS and coaches Jody Scott and Daniel Russell… Set PR times of 15.03 and 41.16 to do so… Was also a member of the Thunder’s school-record 4x100-meter relay team and was named as the school’s Male Track Athlete of the Year… Posted a 60-meter hurdle PR of 8.29 during the 2020 indoor season to finish second at the USATF-Colorado State Championships… Also finished second at the Washington High School Invitational before his senior high school season was canceled due to COVID.
Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering… Son of Dave and Dawn Frye… Has one brother-Bryan.
Why I Chose CMU: “Because it has strong track and engineering programs and it’s warmer.”
