2023 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in three meets, including the RMAC Championships… Had a clearance of 3.98 meters (13-0.75) at the Maverick Invite.
2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets, but was unable to clear a height successfully.
Prep: 2022 graduate of Perry High School… Finished eighth at the state championships as a senior after placing ninth as a freshman… Set a PR of 14-3 during his senior season with the Pumas.
Personal: Is majoring in biology… Son of Lin and Rod McConnell… Has an older sister named Samara, who competes in the pole vault at Ole Miss… Likes to play YuGiOh and watch movies.
Why I Chose CMU: “It is a good D2 school that I can continue to vault at and continue studying into whatever I want to.”
