2025 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll… Ran in three meets, contesting the 800 meters at each… Set a career-best time of 1:57.12 at the Maverick Invitational… Also ran on the Mavs’ “B” 4x400 relay team that finished third in 3:24.99 at that meet.
2024-25 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll… Ran the 800 meters in three events… Set a season-best time of 2:00.13 at the Colorado Invitational.
2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Ran in two home meets… Finished the 400 meters in 52.76 seconds at the Maverick Invite & Multi… Also ran on a 4x400-meter relay team (3:36.12) at that meet… Contested the 400-meter hurdles at the Maverick Invite #2, finishing in 1:00.98.
2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Ran in four meets, contesting the 800 meters at each… Set a career-best time of 2:01.13 at the New Mexico Team Open… Also ran on two Maverick relay teams that both finished second.
2023 Outdoor (Freshman): Redshirt season… Had an 800-meter time of 1:59.99 as an unattached runner at the Maverick Invite.
2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Redshirt season… Ran unattached in the 800 meters at the Western Colorado Alumni Open, finishing in 2:10.52.
Prep: 2022 graduate of Centaurus High School… Ran for the Warriors and Coach David Goodman… Helped the relay teams to third (4x800) and fifth (4x400) place finishes at the 4A State Championships… Had placed fifth in the 400 at the Boulder County Championships with a PR of 51.27… Also had PRs of 24.04 (200) and 2:00.57 (800) as a senior in 2022… Finished 32
nd (2020) and 56
th (2019) at the State Cross Country Championships… Had a XC PR of 16:53.46 during the 2019 XC season.
Personal: Is majoring in business… Son of Mike and Patty McGill… Has three older siblings— Patrick, David and Marguerite… Enjoys hiking, being outdoors, lifting and spending quality time with family friends… Has lived in Colorado for his whole life, but has never skied or snowboarded.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of how friendly and welcoming the coaches and teammates were. I also love the outdoors around Grand Junction.”
