2020 Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20 Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in six meets, including the RMAC Championships… Finished 13th in the 400 meters at the conference meet with a time of 51.49 seconds… Also helped the Mavericks finish seventh in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:24.92, fifth fastest in program-history… Was a part of the Mavs’ quartet that posted a time of 3:22.02 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational 15 days earlier… That time ranks second in program history… Had a season-best 400 time of 50.64 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational… Was ranked 15th on the RMAC season-long performers list with an altitude and track-size adjusted time of 50.11, set when he finished third in 50.69 at the UCCS Invitational… Also contested the 60 and 200-meter dashes and the long jump throughout the season… Had season-best times of 7.31 and 22.89… Jumped a career-best 6.35 meters (20-10) in the long jump to take third at the Western Colorado Open.

2019 Outdoor (Freshman): Ran in five meets, including the RMAC Championships... Turned in a PR time of 49.06 in the 400 meters at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open to move into the No. 2 spot in program history for that event... Would run the 200 in 22.16 a week later at the Mines Kit Mayer Invite to rank fifth... Anchored the Mavs' 4x400-meter relay team to a school-record time of 3:17.79 at that meet... Would go to help the Mavs take fifth at the RMAC Championships in 3:21.02, the sixth fastest time in school-history... Finished 10th in the 200 (22.54) and 13th (50.05) in the 400 in his individual events at the conference meet... Competed in the long jump twice, recording a leap of 6.59 meters (21-7.5) at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open... Ranks eighth in program history with that mark. 

2018-19 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in six meets, including the RMAC Championships... Turned in season-best times of 50.11 (400) and 22.75 (200) at the conference meet  to place sixth and 11th respectively... Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 400 for the effort, which ranks him third in program history... Also helped the Mavs set a school-record and place fourth in the 4X400-meter relay with a time of 3:20.96... Ran the 60 meters for the lone time at the Western Colorado Open to begin the season, finishing in 7.32 seconds.

Prep: Set a then 400-meter PR of 49.16 seconds at the 2018 3A State Championships after winning the Metropolitan League Title in the event... Ran for Coach Darwin Horan and the Lutheran HS Lions… Also took fourth in the league meet over 200 meters… Has a PR of 22.13 in the 200… Finished eighth in the indoor 60-meter dash with a PR of 7.34 seconds the USATF State Indoor Championships while running for AMATA.

Personal: Is majoring in nursing… Son of Ed and Julie Ammon.

Why I Chose CMU: “Because I really liked the campus and school.  The coaches were also very welcoming.”
